Just joined this forum and have been impressed by all of the how-to's and DIY advice. Such a great resource! I bought my Maverick Lariat last week and thought of cutting up a bed mat from my F150 to fit the new truck, but then I read somewhere in this forum where someone had suggested using a rubber stall mat to use as a bed mat. With bed mats being $100+, I thought that sounded like a good idea. Looked online and saw that Farm Supply has a 4 ft. x 6 ft. thick rubber mat for $58.99. Good price, but when I checked online yesterday, I saw that they now have it on sale for $15 off ($43.99). Picked it up yesterday, trimmed it, and it works great! Thanks to whomever that was who made the suggestion. A 3/4" mat is perfect for hauling stuff.

I just use an old piece of carpet cut to fit. I have a tonneau cover so no worries when it’s on, simply remove when cover is rolled up. Works well to keep stuff from sliding around. Sorry, no pics.

Great Idea! I just looked at the local co-op and they have 3/4 thick stall mats, 4x8, for $35!

I got a pad at Ollie's Bargain Outlet for $19.95 and stuck it down with double-stick tape. It's not full width, but I had to trim it in length and around the bed tiedowns. I don't care what it looks like--I have a tonneau cover and the price was right.

I'll argue that if you've got a spray-in liner you don't need 100% bed coverage.

Tractor Supply's "Thick Rubber Stall Mat, 4 ft. x 6 ft." is 94 lbs before you trim it to fit the wheel wells; it's heavy and unwieldy.

Tractor Supply's "Utility Rubber Stall Mat, 3 ft. x 4 ft." is only 37 lbs (1/2" thick is still plenty thick) and is easily removable if you want to wash the bed. Its 3-foot width fits nicely between the wheel wells without trimming, and the reduced weight saves at least 10 mpg by my unscientific estimate. :)

I used a utility knife with a straightedge. I read a post where someone used a saber saw with a fine-toothed metal blade. That didn't work at all, but the utility knife worked great. Make sure it is a new blade. A dull blade won't have a chance.

Here’s a pad from H Depot, little over 1/4 in thick, non slip, I cut my strap attachment and turned it around so could still strap on tail gate when carrying something longer to clear tail gate cylinder
