Dimensions for anyone wondering

Thought that I would share a pic of my bed divider that I made. It is out of Cedar with holes for tie downs and to reduce the weight.

Is this a tight fit side-to-side? With the liner I am wondering if boards stay in place, as the indentations are very radiused; Especially, the horizontals on the fenders.

Looks good but PVC works for me it gives me an extra inch by Benton’s if I need it.

Seems like 2X6 cedar is a little hard to find around here. None at Lowe's or Home Depot. I'll check around.

Menards seems to have them, but the closest one is about a 4 hour drive from here. That's a little too far to get wood.

I did something similar without the smaller holes. One up front as well for carrying 4x8 sheets

Yes it does. I cut the hand holes on my CNC so it only took an extra min for that. Benefits of owning a woodshop.

I thought of the same thing, inly with two holes/slots for ease of lifting (and the extra tie downs !!).

Thinking of doing something similar with a tray setup, thinking I'll also make a cutout to place my mountain bikes rear tire. That way I don't have to remove the tray setup everytime I go on a MTB trip lolz.

I just have a 2x3 as a cheap divider for now but I was thinking of using black plastic lumber and then drilling out holes for handles and to use for bungees or tie-downs.

Definitely more expensive than regular lumber but I'd bet it's close to the price of a piece of cedar.

Comes in 2x4, 2x6, 2x8, 2x10 x 8ft lengths at Menard's.

Current Price: $35 for 2x6 to $65 for 2x10 -The generally run an 11% mail-in-rebate to give you a voucher you can use in the store on future purchases so it nets out to be a bit less w the rebate.

Having said that, I really like the idea of marine carpet. Would you still use pressure treated lumber or is reg lumber sufficient? I have a tonneau cover that's on 99% of the time so my assumtion is reg lumber s/b fine when covered with the marine carpet.

If I hadn't had the cedar I was
going to try the plastic lumber.

I recently modified my 2x6. I rounded the corners and drilled 2 1/8 holes in it. I also added the handles. The rounded corners really mak it easy to get it in and out (even with the bed cover on) and the holes serve two purposes, one is to lighten the board and the other is to allow you to use bungees to secure things. It is not such a PIA to use now.

Now I need to finish the raw spots with some Poly to call it good.
