Well, crap. Looks like just an uncorrected piece of data on the package sheet in the tracker. I'll live, as it is on my 2023. My wife is gonna be displeased.
well, if she ever needs a windshield replacement opt for the heated version.
add a micro relay and some wire and you'll make her smile.

Here is the '22 Lariat switch panel, there is no separate switch JUST for the WW de-icer. It's the shared switch with the exterior mirrors.

Or, show us how yours is different.

Sorry misunderstood the question. That there was no switch. Thought he meant the defrost button worked tge heated windshield and mirrors too.

No problem. With the de-contenting that has happened since the launch (like the deletion of the temp display dials shown) anything is possible,,,

I know there was talk of it being removed, along with the keypad, but my tracker still shows the Lariat Luxury Package as including the following:

Does anyone have a 2024 Lariat that can determine if it is still there or not? Someone in a FB group posted the picture of their windshield showing that it was heated, but I think they had a 2023. Looks like it will be clear on the windshield label.

johnny's car reviews said that canadian mavericks will still have the de icer but usa will not

I don't think it's the wipers or windshield that's heated, rather the plastic " well" that the wiper blades rest in when turned off. Plz correct if I'm wrong.

The heating element is built into the windshield itself.

Man I sure coulda used this feature especially since you can't fold the wipers up without doing "turn the wipers on and when they are up turn the truck off" so then what's the point of remote start if I can't do it without putting wipers down.

Either way my questions is, can I add the heated windshield when having to replace the windshield? Like is it plug-n-play for for the defroster(de-icer)? I live in Colorado and have already noticed the build up of Ice in the "parking area" for the wipers and still with defrost on with the remote start it still doesn't do enough especially with below freezing temps all the time and the wipers will chatter and build up with ice.

I've seen some options for heated wiper blades, which would be another good option. Then also seen a kit online for basically a defrost kit to stick the wiper "parking area" but that wouldn't be do-able with the maverick as you can't really access that portion of the windshield inside the truck without removing it.

My '23 XLT w/Lux has it but they removed it from the '24 XLT Lux package also.

RE: Deleted heated wipers = That sucks!. Even though I don't live where they are needed, the Weather Channel says 200 million Americans [and probably lots of Canadians] are under extreme cold weather watch.

I understand removing the wifi hotspot, the dual digital display on the HVAC control [early Lariats I think] the keypad, but the de-ice feature seems important, particularly since you can't easily lift the wiper arms off the windshield.

Did Ford bean counters go to the same B school as Boeing bean counters? How's that working for you, Boeing? [picture a disgusted face emoji here]

For those wondering what the WW de-icer looks like, it is this thin line under where the wipers park.

Pic stolen and annotated from a different thread,,,,

I didn’t realize this was even a thing until this thread. My ‘23 Lariat definitely has it. Remote started this morning and it’s working like charm.

I ordered on 11/3/23, build date is 01/29/2024. The order indicates the wiper de-icer is included, no deletion.

It does indicate that it's available, but it isn't.

Just like the Rear Window Defroster that was listed for the 2022 Lariat Lux. Nope. Guess this makes my "2023 Alto Blue-Lariat Lux-BAT-Heated windshield" even that more of a rarity.
