NEWBIE QUESTION ABOUT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS

Are you saying that the little dial sets the speed of the intermittent wipers and only works with the stalk in the intermittent position? This would make sense, although it seems superfluous to me.
My old vintage jalopies only have high and low speeds, and that's only when they're working! .Which is intermittently. Actually, when the weather is inclement, I wouldn't even think of driving those old buggies. s

Also note that in SETTINGS, you can modify the "courtesy wipe" that adds a single additional wipe after a pause.

I'll go back a bit farther. My Ramblers had vacuum wipers, supposedly infinitely adjustable. Unfortunately, they're powered by the engine vacuum. You get slow with intermittent bursts of wiper panic.

ditto my Ford Falcon! The wipers ,having lost vacuum with acceleration, slowed. It was very annoying and scary at times. s,

Most of these turbo charged engines make no vacuums so most things are electric. My old diesel has an electric vacuum pump.

Now about that 540+ page owner's manual. I had never seen a munual door lock lever quite like the one in my Mav. That's not covered in the manual. I don't have much of that expensive electric junk on mine, but I have many pages explaining how they work.
