I don't like the drop in bed liner. But, if you get an XLT with lux pkg that's what you get. Can it be removed once you get the truck with no issues?
Or do folks like the DIBL. I havn't had a truck in quite a while and never a DIBL.
What do you think?

"Can it be removed once you get the truck with no issues?"
Yes. Just two small screws in the back and double stick tape on the back of the cab. It goes in and comes out in 5 pieces.

"Or do folks like the DIBL"
Yes I like my DIBL

Some have reported rusted boxes after a few years with DIBL.

I was planning to do just that but now the XLT lux comes with a DIBL. I'll probably remove it and do the bed rug.
and trap all the moisture and rust the bed out?

1000% a quality, professionally installed SIBL. You will never be sorry..

It's my least favorite change for 2024 XLTs.

I'll probably leave the DIBL in for a year, then get the SIBL.

I am a fan of using just a good fitting rubber mat. The DIBLs are usually rather slippery. My thought has been to use the rubber mat and then if the bed gets to looking bad I would get the SIBL and make the bed look good again. I have not had to use the SIBL yet.

what happens to the water and moisture that accumulates under the mat?

Pull it out and let it dry. It has never really been a problem for me. After hauling a load of mulch, soil, rocks and such we have to pull out the rubber mat and get the leaf blower.

Drop in liner ok for Aluminum beds, but I'd never use one in a steel bed.

I've had each kind for 10+ years. Drop in is better with a longer bed because you can slide stuff over it. Spray in is a little nicer, but grips, no sliding. On the Mav the bed is small enough you don't need to slide things beyond reach, so sibl. Just my take on it
