I started getting messages from ford pass and wonder if anyone else has. It says my fordpass connect has entered deep sleep mode in order to conserve battery energy. Remote features my be temporarily unavailable because your battery charge leval is low.
I have a 2024 hybrid lariat. 800 miles and I picked it up in January this year. I am bringing it in Monday. I called ford pass and they were concerned as he has never seen this on such a new vehicle.

I had a similar issue with mine, only it did not say deep sleep mode. The error I got on ford pass was a disconnect to conserve battery life. I own a 22 ecoboost.
I went through the connection process again and it’s been good since.
I bought it a month ago so I’m still getting used to its little quirks.

I agree with you. Too much already written about this. There are solutions. I suggest you just google it first and google will bring you back to the right solution. Google "AGM battery replacement for Maverick" or "solution for deep sleep issue with Maverick". 100's of solutions. We've all been there. Welcome to the "deep sleep" club.

Ahhh ok. Thank you. I'm an old lady and this is my first truck. Technology and I are not friends. Sounds like something I don't have to worry about. This info will help me. Sorry about not knowing and too many others asking. I didn't know.

No need to apologize....we do have some forum members are are sometimes too quick to judge others without knowing the circumstances of the one who is asking questions. Always feel free to ask questions and just ignore the insults from a very small minority...

I was actually thinking I was going to get an easy answer instead of continue searching which is difficult for me. My husband died 3 years ago after 45 years if marriage. He took care of car issues. I am not an idiot, but when it comes to vehicles and sadly technology I am at a loss. This was my first post asking for help. I will make sure not to do that again unless I check how many times the question was asked. By the way what is the limit before one gets shamed for asking?

There have been scores—if not hundreds-- of posts on this topic. Consider it a 'feature' unless the vehicle fails to start.
I wanted to prevent going to my brand new vehicle and not being able to start it. I guess I am strange that way.

I do not have a hybrid, so I have not kept up with all the deep sleep messages. Seeing this message on such new truck could be related to you only having driven it 800 miles in about four months............. Has not been driven enough to keep battery adequately charged.

Agree. Needs to be driven more before seeing if there's actually an issue.

HI, I bought mine late 2023 and went through the same thing, the fix was buying an aftermarket battery, I got mine from O Reilys, autoparts. . I had my truck tested for parasitic draw at the dealer and they were within specs. I think Ford has a bad run of Motorcraft batteries or they are just bad period, especially if you don't drive that much. Good Luck.

Thank you for the helpful ideas. I do not want a vehicle to be able to dictate how often I drive it. I need to drive it more? No it should work if I drive it or not. It is brand new. Never had issues with other vehicles. I drive to church on Sundays. If that's all I want to do and the vehicle can't deal with that then take it back. I am not going to jump start a new car. I am not going to drive more or less because of something that particular car needs? Fix it. I am too old to waist time catering to a brand new vehicle. Other than this issue I enjoy it very much. I just expect it to run like a new car. Is that too much? The world has changed way too much.

A different 12v battery is 90% certain to remedy this.

The AGM types look promising.
Also regular type "Die Hard" brand looks good as well.
You are not alone.
A large fraction of trucks are doing this.
If you love the truck, this is not a huge deal.

Do you use the Fordpass app for anything else? If not, consider deleting it on your phone and turning off FordPass, Wifi and Auto-updates in the truck (settings in the infotainment screen). These options drain your battery to the point that the BMS (battery management system) kicks in to trigger deep sleep mode. My truck sits idle for up to a week and no longer goes into deep sleep since I turned all that stuff off. No battery change required.
