I heard that Ford was supposed to come out with some kind of patch to stop this deep sleep mode all the time. Has anybody heard of any updates on this. It seems like if I don't run my car everyday I'll get the stupid deep sleep mode alert on my Ford pass. It sure is annoying and one time I didn't go out and run it till the next day and I had to call roadside assistance to come jump it this is crazy.

You heard a rumor.
A hopeful misapplied SSM that was a rumor.

Just scan 1, maybe 2 pages of current threads - there will probably be 2-3 threads with multiple pages giving you the update and misunderstanding.

Oh - in your case your battery is about to die - hope you have a jump pack for convenience to get it to dealer the morning it's dead.
Then again - you do realize the purpose of the deep sleep mode is so the battery can start the truck.

As long as it is under warranty:
1) let it go to sleep
2) call your dealer for roadside
3) tell them you are bringing it in and need a loaner (it is covered under warranty)
4). Tell them to keep it until it is fixed

( it took my dealer a month to finally get it fixed. 2 different modules and a new battery)

Battery can still test good and start the truck when you're having Deep Sleep issues.

I took mine to two different dealers and they told me that and did nothing for me.
Ended up replacing the battery myself, and it started doing it again after 11 months.

Surprisingly it hasn't happened in a while.
Not sure what if anything has changed.

It's been Summer. You will see it again as the weather cools off.

I had SSM 53801 air conditioning control module (ACCM) software update, that Ford Engineering advised dealer to fix the issue - didn't fix, the Deep Sleep mode continued.
Back to the same dealer, Ford advised them to run SSM 52307 updating TCU to fix deep sleep notification errors. This worked for 3 days until dealer charger battery discharged again.
Back to the dealer next week for a new try.

What were the modules they replaced? Thanks.

My Deep Sleep problem got resolved at the dealer, no problems since September. They have replaced the (2023) battery, and applied two software fixes SSM 53801 AC module, SSM 52307 Deep Sleep TCU updates. The AC Module fix took care of the battery drain problem, the AC fan would run after you left the truck draining the 12V battery, the TCU update took care of false battery battery reporting causing the Deep Sleep shutdowns. Unfortunately, too many technicians never heard of those two SSM notices, and once you give them the numbers they will find the fix procedures under warranty.

So, no issues for 3 months?! Wow, this is great news. Thank you! I just contacted my dealer with those exact fix numbers. I have been dealing with this issue since Jan of 2023. I'm almost out of warranty, so the timing on this is phenomenal! Fingers crossed. I already replaced the battery with an aftermarket Die Hard that someone here advised to get. But deep sleep kept happening. Thanks again Krys! Happy New Year!

You heard wrong.

They had a note about an intermittent battery drain last Sep/Oct.
The note on it told the techs to basically stop wasting time looking for a parasitic draw.
Reset the truck computers by unplugging the negative cable for some minutes.
Charge up the battery.
Confirm the drain didn't kill it - replace if it did ruin it bad enough.
Pat the customer on the shoulder and tell them a fix is coming.

Ford thinks they found the main intermittent battery drain - and software up date in Spring for the AC module was handed out as that fix in an SSM.
It's obviously not the only possible drain - but it's done 1st before spending time looking for another one.

The DSM is because your battery is at a lower charge level, and was never part of it.
That's not an intermittent drain. That's just action that eventually ruins a battery.

In fact from the sounds of it - you just need to drive closer to 2 hr daily to fix that part.
There is no belief that the system is doing anything wrong - therefore there won't be a fix.

Can't fix a problem if they don't admit there is one.

Also - you aren't solving deep sleep, or a bad battery - those 2 descriptions I'm sure keep getting sent up to Ford - not helping to bring a true resolution.
Deep sleep - and probably the more likely battery saver functions of lights off sooner - are purposeful and a good idea - to conserve a battery for starting the truck, if things are going wrong.

Welp, that didn't work for me. I had them run the 2 software updates and this morning...... the dreaded Deep Sleep mode warning. Ugh! Now they want to replace my battery. I'm sure with one of the shitty flooded Ford ones. Even though I told them I had replaced it with an AGM DieHard a year or two ago. I'm at the end of my warranty, and they know it, so they're probably just replacing the battery to buy time 'til the warranty runs out. F@ckin Ford better fix this sh!t!
