My dealer performed the SSM 53801 two weeks ago on my 24 Lariat hybrid. It made no difference toward resolving the battery saver mode issue that I've been dealing with for over a year. They finally agreed the battery was probably sulfated. So I finally convinced them to replace it with an AGM under warranty, however they are hitting me with a $100 "copay". I do get a three year warranty on the AGM and a refund if Ford ever issues a recall on the wet cells. So if this actually solves the problem for good then I'll have to consider this a success story.
