Dealer called me and said they are going to put a new front battery in today and then see how it does. We shall see, they seem to be trying.
Was that their term - front battery?

That's concerning.

I just bought a 2024 Maverick hybrid with just 2,500 miles. For the second time I came out and batteries were dead, jumped it and took it to the dealer. They say the batteries are fine but something is drawing the power while it is shut off but they can't find the problem. What do I do?
This is a feature of the hybrid Mavs. Welcome to the shit-quality club.

I had the same problem with my 2024 Maverick Hybrid. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the battery. Three days after the battery was replaced, it went dead again. Took it back to the dealer and they did something called, "battery stratification". I haven't had any problems since.

my MAVERICK TRUCKEL HYBRID. TRY THIS. EVERY TIME I STOP AND LEAVE IT…EVERYTIME… I get out and press lock till it beeps 2 or 3 times and walk away. This eliminates all the clicking and clacking and using battery juice till I’m ready to roll again——-works for me. Never a problem.
Yep, I do also even in my garage. Turns off the delay circuits immediately. So saves that. Less draw helps some but depending on drive time, etc after one to two sometimes three months battery drops to 12.0 or little lower and I put Noco g5 on it for 4 to 7 days (not necessarily continuously). I am doing that mainly to extend battery life a year or three. My 2012 Honda CRC would eat a battery in 24-32 months until I put my noco g5 on every three months. That last battery had over 60 months on it and was still working fine when I gave Honda to granddaughter.

So, the EB's are apparently unaffected? I was wondering.
The EB's have it also. They have a larger capacity battery and most but not all have an AGM. It just takes longer for the voltage to drop. I had a tremor for six months and it would get low on charge. My noco g5 was a little small for that battery and an 8 or 10 would have been better. The five amp takes longer because part of the time it's supplying the current for the draw when it occurs as well as charging battery.

Maybe a young whipper snapped new tech? Maybe in hybrid it would be the "battery on top"?

I had 3 batteries go "bad" in 3 weeks. On the last battery they said it was a bad batch and they got a battery from some place else?! i also hit the fob 2x when i get out, turn off the radio, have turned off updates, wifi (which turns itself back on all the time) and keep the keep both fobs in Faraday pouchs. So far 2 months without an issue but not confident it will last. I also never turn it on unless i drive it 10 miles with no turn offs, even if i have to do a loop around town to hit the 10mile mark. Waste of time etc but i crank up the tunes and try and think about it as having fun. Good luck

Ford has been putting shit batteries in everything for well over a decade. I had a 2007 Fusion that got 3 new ones (under warranty). After that, I stupidly bought a 2010 Fusion which only needed one warranty battery. Yet somehow , I've had the 2024 Maverick almost a whole year with no battery problems (yet). I feel for you guys having battery issues. Looks like not much has changed.

Why doesn't Ford make this whole thing right? The complaints must be staggering.

IMO, as long as people continue to spend their own money on chargers, jump starters, agm batteries, etc. to help relieve the issue, ford has no reason to spend their money on truly fixing the issue (mainly their software programming and subpar battery - my opinion). Their smiling all the way to the bank saving warranty charges.

Ok - curiosity got me - did granddaughter get a Noco5, or a new battery pretty quick was her payment for Honda?
Or even a lesson about being stranded with a dead battery LOL. Oh tough one.
