I prefer the tried and true lead acid type, but the one I have wouldn’t fit in my Hybrid. So I bought the $99 Noco at Costco, a slightly different model than you posted. The small size is amazing, so much so that I have some concern about it working when it is needed. I wish they had been on sale two months ago, when I bought mine.

I bought gb40 noco boost plus on amazon,100$,and has started vehicles of mine and others for past year with no problems.never would have believed it would work as easy as it does.this is only good up to about a 351 engine so buy size according to what you intend to start.and charge it up in your truck and leave it there.

Would you get this over the 5A version (Genius5) for $69 off the Noco web site?

I like the size and capabilities of this over my old Power-on-board starter/charger.
What Costco did you see them in?

This is only a jump starter,not a batter tender.but it will charge a phone or other low voltage type stuff.BUT,carefully read up on the different versions and make sure it will do what you want it to.don’t get one too small for engine size of what you need to jumpstart.

I looked at it and thought,this little thing can’t possibly be a jump started.it surprised me completely but it definitely jump starts our truck!so,as time went by i thought,darn this is alot easier than the old big jump starters.but remember,get one for the intended size motor and other things it says it can do.mine definitely want start a large diesel engine but they have one that will.

What's shown at the top appears to only be a 4A charger (not a jump box). Its an original NOCO Genius 4A vs the newer model NOCO Genius5 5A

OP references "Noco Genius" for sale at costco, which is a charger/maintainer.
You referenced a "boost" model which has jump-start capability.

What Costco did you see them in?

I have the Genius 5 amp version. When I brought my lariat Tremor home and had about 200 miles on it I put my Genius 5 on it without checking charge status. Had all lights etc working. It is an AGM which I set noco to. Put on Sun at 10AM and it finished charging around 3PM Tues. Temp was night lows around 85, day highs were 95-98 and noco adjusts for temps and can be used indoors or outdoors and left one for maintenance if desired. It also has automatic repair mode. I have used it on my much larger diesel tractor battery but it takes a good week for it so I am going to buy a genius 10 also, I think. It would occasionally be nice to have a genius multi battery model but they are a little pricey for me. I just rotate my genius 5 from lawnmowers, 6&12v flooded, sealed, AGM, LiPo4. (Have to select battery type to avoid over/under charging).
Also I have a GB50 for jump starting. Way way overkill for mavericks particularly Hybrid!

I swear some of you can’t read. It’s a battery charger meaning if you have a dead battery it will jump start it.

If you have a dead battery, it will charge it. Depending on the health of the battery. It will not jump start it.
