Hey guys first time posting here, I hope I'm posting in the right area. I'm having a problem with my coolant temp, after letting it warm up and driving it for 20 min or more my temp does really go above 190*. In fact it's running between 170-189*.
I have a 2024 XL AWD 2.0L , the truck has about 10k miles on it. A little back story is in the summer I changed the radiator out for a towing one. Not only for better cooling , but I cut the stock intercooler tabs off the original one when I installed a CV Fab intercooler, so I wanted to be able to go back to stock if I wanted too. About a month ago I drove to Idaho and the hole time going there the truck didn't go above 190 deg. After I got back from that trip I changed my thermostat, think maybe it was sticking open, but it didn't do anything. From my Cobb accessport I can see the temp go from 180 down to 170 just driving normal down the road. When the Cobb accessport reads around 170 I can see the K.O.M drop down to zero, once the temp goes up to stay 175 then the K.O.M will go back up to .564 right now.
Has anybody had this problem, I'm wondering if I have a bad temp sensor!
Other mods that I've done are K&N intake, Borla exhaust, CV fab intercooler and just on the stage 1 87 octane tune form Cobb.
I do also have a tune from Panda , but I swapped the tune back the Cobb because of running problems. Like limp mode over boost codes.

Any help would be really appreciated

I have a hybrid but my issue is not enough heat in the winter.
First off, with you, what is your engine supposed to run at? And, you've done a lot of mods, it's going to take some thought. And some experimentation to narrow the problem to a particular cause(s).

I'm not sure what is so post to normally run at, I would think it would be around 200 to 210. The thermostat is a stock ford 190 deg, the heater seems fine and the gauge reads right in the middle like it has from day one. I might go into work and grab a scan tool and see if the temp numbers are different form the Cobb tomorrow.

winter time and below 32F my hybrid maverick engine temp gage doesn't seem to reach the top of the C in city driving and when I turn the car off to go shopping it looses all its heat. Is this normal for hybrids

Yeah. This is a by-product of efficiency and the engine running less. Don't use the cabin heat (yeah, I know) if you want the engine to warm up better. Bass Pro has a sale on long underwear.

The normal operating engine coolant temperature for your Maverick with a 2.0 EcoBoost engine typically ranges between 190°F to 210°F, so you aren't far off.

If it's cold up there, you're more likely to be on the low side of the temperature range.

It’s been kinda warm for this time of year, yesterday and today have been in the 40’s so not really cold. I went for a drive tonight and the hottest it got was 187*. That was driving it spirited up tiger Mountain. I stopped by work today and used a Snapon scan tool, it read the same temperature the Cobb accessport was reading.
It might be a waist of money but i think Friday i might see if a Ford dealer has a temp sensor in stock.
If i do I’ll definitely let you guys know if something changes.

I just took a 110 mile round trip to visit family and to give you another data point, mid 40's ambient temps and the scanguage showed 183* going and 184* coming back so you seem to be in range.
Hope that helps and Merry Christmas!

Was in Michigan last week and drove to Texas yesterday. ran 182-185 the whole trip. Ambient temp was 19f - 82f

Completely normal. These are very efficient engines.

The highest I've seen was 210 degrees beating the crap out of it off-road in sport in 95° F while running the AC. The radiator fan was really working...

I like to maximize fuel efficiency so when I used to commute to work; I would not use heat I would use the heated seat and steering wheel. I would also try opening the window slightly to try and keep the windows from fogging up as I hated using the defogger even if I had the temp on cold.

Thanks guys for giving Me some more input. If I didn’t have the Cobb I probably wouldn’t even know. My concern is watching the K.O.M go up and down when the temperature changes. The temperature seems to change kinda of fast, I would say 5 to 10 degrees in a few blocks of normal driving.
I haven’t timed it or anything, but I would swear that my 2001 Chevy Tahoe warms up faster and it has way more consistent coolant temperatures. It just seems odd something that’s 25 years old that doesn’t have active grill shutters and the engine compartment isn’t really sealed up well.
I would’ve figured the Maverick would get up to temperature faster and run a little warmer for better fuel efficiency.
