Someone already got side mirror defroster/heater?

Yes, if I pay attention to weather forecast, I can remember to throw covers on so no ice.

Adjustable air bolster for front of leg support on seat.

I would kind of like stake pockets. They were handy on my ranger when I had to tie a tarp down and the in bed tie downs were buried. (I had D ring things in my stake pockets)

Move the washer fluid fill to the front of the truck. Just a little easier to pour into.

60/40 seat I will second that but the cushions as well. I like to use the under seat storage but dont always have to lift the whole thing.

Change the drive mode selector from a button to a knob so it stays where you put it on next start (Eco)

A cover where they cut out the bottom of the bumper for the trailer hitch (Should be standard)

For tremors I would like to see the 4 AUX overhead switches that the Bronco Sport has. (Maybe tremors have this? Idk)

A paper manual - Yes, I know its a half a tree, but thats way easier then being stuck up north with no cell signal and a dead battery. (Cant read the screen if battery dead)

Front tow hooks on all AWD models.

Option for a Black Diamond Package like the Bronco sport has- bull bar, aux wiring, offroad tires, tow hooks and skid plates. Maybe a safari bar with lights?

4k tow on Lobo and tremors. (I know, rear diff is an issue but surely an engineer can figure that out)

PHEV Variant of the Hybrid. If I can have a fusion PHEB, I cant see why they cant shove a battery in there somewhere..

Well I wish the Mav had a power passenger seat, rain sensing wipers, auto dimmer interior/exterior mirrors, built in garage door opener, hydraulic hood opener, hydraulic tailgate drop and a sensor to tell you if you left the tailgate open.

I added the interior auto dimming mirror/garage door opener and hydraulic tailgate drop myself but it should have been standard at that price along with the other mentioned features.

My 89 Prelude had pop up headlights. It was such a cool feature.
My 84 Honda Accord had those pop up headlights. I loved those things Never had an issue with them freezing up where they couldn't be opened. And the headlights were protected when not in use. Actually I loved everything about that car. It was small and felt like a go cart to drive.

I had pop-up headlights and fiber optics to all the lights which was cool. The headlights, not so much. They made the front too light at high speeds and caused it to become unstable. OK, maybe I was driving too fast? It is like having a spoiler on the front, top edge of your car. Bad aerodynamics!

Since most of us have been driving for decades we've all owned or rented our fair share of different vehicles. I was just wondering what features your older cars had that never became common place but wish you had on your Mav. My 2 examples are from the 90s. My Passat had a lock button on the key fob that would, if you held it down, roll up the windows and close the sunroof. Second is from a Mazda 626 that had a "sweep" button on the hvac controls. It would move all the vents side to side like floor fan. Just curious what you all remember.
a friggin CD player and no I don't want to hear from anyone about ripping them....

Ehhhh - if your cell phone has network, and the truck has AT&T network. Fine and dandy.
And your truck battery hasn't dropped too low.
Any one of those 3 not in place - you ain't gettin in so easily.
Good point. I guess after 4 years I should memorize that code!

+1 and Fog lamps...

I've driven economy vehicles mostly since 2000, and none of them have had an underhood or glovebox light. However, the Maverick is the first since then without fog lamps. I've remedied that situation, but it wasn't cheap.
I agree 100%. I was sorely disappointed when I discovered there not only were no fog lights on my 2025 Lariat Hybrid, but they are not even an option or available from Ford parts.

There are quick disconnects for safety.
Someone with 1st responders way back posted about the database of those per ev/hybrid vehicles available to them for emergencies.
That database has gotta be getting huge - wonder if it's quick & easy to use.

Mechanics of course can get the info too - but since they have to pay for so much info per brand or vehicle now just depending - wondering how many independent shops bother to pay to find out, or just reject working on certain items on certain vehicles, or risk it.

I don't have access to the service manual right now - but the disconnect under the hood, always wondered if that really stopped the flow only right there, or caused it to somehow disconnect closer to HVB so the whole orange wire is de-energized coming from it, which the relay already does.

Anyway, from owner's manual - they don't want you near the disconnects.

Always:
  • Call emergency assistance if needed and advise that an electric or hybrid-electric vehicle is involved.
  • Avoid contact with leaking fluids and gases, and remain out of the way of oncoming traffic until emergency responders arrive.
  • When emergency responders arrive, tell them that the vehicle involved is an electric vehicle or hybrid-electric vehicle.
The contactor in the HV battery needs 12V to close.
Disconnecting the 12V battery or using the green disconnect under the hood cuts off that 12V.
If the contactor was stuck closed you would get a bunch of warnings on the dash.
I did a video a while back about the disconnect

Your Lariat doesn't have keypad entry? My 22 does. Maybe they did away with it. Some people love it. I personally don't understand the need. I can unlock my Mav from anywhere with the app.
Keypad went away after 23 model year. Had it on my 23 XLT, gone on my 24 Lariat. The stick on looked cheap.

Same here. I loved my prelude. It was a better car than I deserved at the time.

I don't like the look of it either.

Underhood light. Glovebox light.

Cassette deck. :) (Actually, a CD player would be nice.)
What's a CD player?

Seriously, maybe its me, but I would like to see a table of contents in the owner's manual that is easy to navigate. Example. Wondering on the function of say the Cargo Light Switch? Go to the table of contents to C and find Cargo Lights. I dunno, must be me.
