I’m sure this is posted on something in this forum. But I’m getting conflicting information. I want to charge my 12 V battery under the seat. I have a hybrid.. and one of the post says I can do this from under the hood at the jumper cable posts? Is this correct? And if it is, is that the same place I can put a maintainer? I read another post that states you have to get behind the sensor anyway I’m sure somebody has done this.. thanks for the info.

Yes, the maintainer can be placed on the jump posts.

You can do either.
Under hood. Or Under seat.

If under seat, connect on the far side of the sensor, the little cube. The side away from the battery.

But to be honest; I've done it the right way and the "wrong" way an nothing bad will happen.

It's not such a big deal as everyone thinks is it. However, assuming the sensor is an expensive part, there's no chance of harming it by going under the hood. So that's probably the #1 benefit right there.

not trying to be stupid here just trying to make sure I understand, so this means I can put a charger on them correct?
Yes. I use a noco G5 maintainer. Depending on how low your battery is the 5 amp will bring battery up to 80% sooner and then will drop to 2 amps until around 90% and drop incrementally until battery is 100%. Then the noco will switch to sulfate/optimization mode. The 2 amp can take longer initially as 2 amps may be furnishing the random usage that may occur in addition to charging the battery. ,After the battery gets to 80% the 2, 4,5,10 amp will all act identically.

LX6T-10655-BA this is the number for my battery. I can’t determine if it’s an a flooded battery or a AGM, any ideas?

Search online shows it to be SLI45AH SLI= Start Light Ignition 390 CCA so looks like Flooded Lead. With thin plates so not a deep cycle. The 2022 came with a BXT99RT4A which was the same 45AH 390CCA WHICH WAS REPLACED by dealer with a BXT99RT4A MAX series with 470CCA (55??AH) also A Flooded. I don't think Ford or any one has the 99 size (3/4" shorter) battery in AGM yet.

I had one occurrence in September of last year. My interior lights did not come on when I open the door.
I had a small maintainer charger I hooked it up the easy way. Right to the battery posts.
I charged the battery overnight did the battery relearn process in the morning. I haven't had a low battery indication since.
The charger is still hooked up and nothing tragic has happened.
I have a 2023 hybrid with an original flooded battery. I turned off as much telecommunications as I could. That means no Ford pass and I've also pulled fuse number 11/12.
Good luck

At 6 months of ownership my battery was only 12.1 to 12.3 volts at rest & fully charged. I was 99% sure failure was imminent, but....

Low and behold my stock battery is still doing "fine". Still 12.1 or maybe 12.2 v at rest after a long drive.....

.... at 32 months old.

I did pull fuse 11 (or whatever) to disable telematics.

You have the battery maintainer hooked up wrong. It should be on the other side of the BMS device, and not to the battery post. The BMS can not detect that you are charging it at all the way that you have it wired.

I have not had a low battery problem or any problem since I hooked it up, charged it and reset the bms once in October.
I wanted to hook up my charger easiest way possible with the least amount of resistance. That meant hooking it up to the top of the posts.

What problem should I be looking for?
