Sometimes the Ford app will report some of those DTCs with more details.

Otherwise free scanner read at most parts places it seems. In hopes they can sell you something.

Otherwise no.

I do hope that this is all covered for you by the emissions warranty.

The hybrid has a pressurized tank system so it could be the evap purge valve or the pressure release stuff. What happens when you open your fuel filler flap after the vehicle has been sitting in the sun for a while - does it just pop open or does it take a couple of seconds to open?

The truck has 30k on it, and I have the 10yr/100k warranty, so I think it'll be OK. Going to the dealer's early on Monday, bringing a book and a lunch.
Hope you don't need dinner and a blanky & pillow.

Code readers are so cheap these days, go but one. Easy way to be kept from shady dealings.

Yes, but - the cheap ones don't always work for what you might need. I have some older Bluetooth readers that don't show me the hybrid stuff like HV battery voltage or SOC.

The cheap ones almost only do OBD2 basic DTC's.

There are many modules on most vehicles now that hold their own code detail - only the MIL is told to display.

Maybe the DTC gives a clue as to what module, but no details as to what issue.

But as other threads have shown, basic DTC can also give a generic code that basically means this is Ford specific, or whatever make you have.

Or won't show any DTC's despite the MIL on.
Or worse - there's actually 6 DTC's, some module specific, but your basic OBD shows you 3 - and you think that's it.

Yes, I looked and it's still there.
Took it to O'Reilly's, they checked it with an OBD and it threw a DTC PO496 -- EVAP system high purge flow. Next stop is the dealer.
Do you like to "top" off the tank?

Flashing or not flashing?

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong in about 30 seconds.... but.....

I believe a solid light is not urgent. You can check up on it when convenient

Flashing is urgent and you should check on it right away.

Fords (all of them) are sensitive to topping off the tank and filling the evap line and purge valve with dried fuel residue, causing pressurization issues. Stop doing that, as it will set you back $450 each time, to replace the gummed-up valve. That's usually user abuse and not covered under warranty. Having said that, my 23 just had the problem fixed under warranty and it had never been topped up, so it's possible that there is a design fault too.
