I just inherited a '25 XL and really like the truck... though not loving the blue all throughout the interior (door panels, dashboard, center console, etc). Has this bothered anyone else enough to do something about it? Sounds like options are either full replacement with OEM parts from a Lariat 'black appearance package' or having the parts spray-dye'd/painted at a body shop. Or perhaps having them wrapped with leather or synthetic leather?

If this has been discussed in other threads please just point me there... but I did a few searches and nothing came up. Thanks!

The BAP is the way

But, painting the interior sounds like a great project! And you'll be the first to accomplish!

Whatever's blue stays blue with the BAP. Only the seats and other colored parts get changed to black
I found this photo and it sure looks black. I’ll call Ford Parts dept in the morning

I would just get used interior panels in a color I liked from a junkyard/Ebay lots of wrecked Mavs out there. You do not! want to spray them with automotive paint.

I had a 1994 Nissan 300ZZ TT that had the tan interior that had some rough spots - but most of the interior parts I could find at the time were black. I had a local interior shop dye or paint the parts to match the tan. When they installed a full leather kit for me they wrapped the interior door panels with matching leather and vinyl ( on the arm rests because they get the most wear ).

So a good shop can do whatever you want but it can get expensive for all of the labor involved removing parts and panels.

Just remembered - the seats, armrest, upper dashboard and front part of the doors get the BAP treatment while everything else stays blue. That's part of the reason I didn't get BAP, didn't seem like a great value for a half-assed job on the interior

PS: There are specialty paints for car interiors like Colorbond that do a good job, unless everything's been slathered in Armor-All or silicone protectant

EDIT: Found a picture on the Ford configurator page which confirms there's still blue parts everywhere on the BAP interior :

Definitely wouldn't suggest it. First any scratch will be amplified showing blue. Secondly you would possibly depreciate the resale value, a lot, or a little you won't know tell you try to sell it.

My opinion, live with it. Or if it's that upsetting sell it and buy something that you like. Unfortunately there is not much out there to compete with the Maverick. Also no one is going to give it to you so you will have to come up with some money.

Lastly another point of view. If I inherited or was given a vehicle, me personally I would be thankful regardless of the color. Then again that's just me and the post is my opinion, which may differ from others.

I hope you find happiness in whatever you decide.

Edit just noticed it's your first post. Hello and welcome to MTC. Congratulations on your Maverick. Depending on how you inherited it, I'm sorry for your loss.
