It's too bad you couldn't 3D a type of rubber or silicone cup that would slide over that hard plastic door grip.

You can. Use TPU filament. I wouldn't eat off of it but for softening it up so that you don't bang your knees on it, TPU would work fine.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to 3D printing. I've never done 3D printing. My experience buying stuff off Etsy it wasn't that great, as a matter of fact it was pretty much garbage I posted pictures of it.
Everybody talks about how great it is.
I was just throwing a idea out for "Jah" who had posted this.
Hoping maybe some of these 3D gurus had any ideas, for a soft slip-on sleeve, thinking rubber or silicone style.
Rather than something hold on with clamps or rubber bands and more attractive than what he's currently using.

Yea ! No 3D printing here . basic DIY materials . buy somethings off Amazon but no others .

Ordered mine today in blue and can’t wait till they show up.
I think they add a nice lil accent to the existing blue to make it pop
