What software are you using?Would if I could, it won't delete! I've run the tank down to the zero point.
Stop at the nearest Auto Zone and ask them to delete the code

As stupid as this sounds, an auto zone in Tucson told me that this was illegal, and that they could only read them.Stop at the nearest Auto Zone and sk them to delete the code
AutoZone, Advanced, O'Reilley's, ect.Would if I could, it won't delete! I've run the tank down to the zero point.
Can’t see his comment, but yes. @Charlie Daubitz an OBDII scanner is an essential tool these days. I have a $60 Bosch, but just about any brand/price level will shed light on “check engine” lights as well as clear the codes causing them.ETA - just saw DocHawk's comment - makes sense.
In which case, time to buy your own!
Lol - don’t tell that to The Little Old Lady from Pasadena…IMO life is too short for that boring grandma stuff…
yeah, that was actually in what had been my father's '98 F-150.ETA - just saw DocHawk's comment - makes sense.

Has happened to me on past vehicles as well. Huge annoyance having to kill codes. What is the point of forcing more fuel in? Trying to get to the nearest dollar amount? Think you can go another day without fueling based on the extra 2 ounces jammed in? Fill it till it clicks, you’re full, it’s over, move on.Once that pump handle clicks stop don’t top off. You will ruin ur charcoal canister, that’s when your CEL comes on. Happend to me on a different car.

Oh, so a sub-ecu unit code.I have a Bosch like this, Autozone and O'Reilly won't reset any codes, my Bosch won't reset this CEL. I only overfilled it once.![]()
