Have ALWAYS used Motorcraft in my vehicles and never had an oil related issue.

With the ecoboost, I would strongly recommend the Castrol Edge Pro-V. GDI valves and rings carbon up badly and low quality oil greatly contributes to it. For the 2.5, standard synthetic is good.

Kendall GT-1 synthetic blend, in whatever viscosity Ford recommends. I have never been a brand loyal guy when it comes to, well pretty much anything, but everything I have seen says that this oil should net me the best return on engine longevity.

Check Ford’s specs for oil, I believe a full synthetic is required; a blend won’t cut it.

Whatever synthetic that meets OEM requirements and is on sale at Autozone or a multi-department grocery store like Walmart.

Good thinking. Just checked the manual and it says as long as it meets the "Ford WSS-M2C962-A1" standard it's good to go. Blend it is (I like the way a blend holds additives in suspension better than a group III or group IV does).

Pure synthetic, not really brand loyal there, but only Mobil 1 oil filter.

I have researched the Warren Oil full synthetic products (WalMart. Amazon, Costco) pretty extensively. IMHO the Costco full synthetic is a great product and has a great price. I use the Costco 0w20 it in my 2015 Civic and the 5w30 in my Audi; the Costco 5w30 full syn will be my choice in my Maverick.
I stand corrected. Just checked the Maverick manual again and the Hybrid requires 0W20 Full Synthetic. This will make it easier since my wife's 2015 Civic also uses 0W20.

The trucks haven't even been delivered yet, and an oil thread has already happened. This is the bane of every car/truck/motorcycle/tractor forum I belong to.
As a veteran of car enthusiast forums since the early days of the Internet, I feel your pain.
OTOH?
This oil thread still makes 1,000% more sense to me than folks agonizing over adding wheels that will add a half pound of unsprung weight on their grocery getter, though.

To each their own!

I will be using a OEM Toyota (Denso) Oil filter for sure.
