Oh, is that right? Thanks for the information regarding water-based products. Common sense would tell you they wouldn't last very long, but I wasn't aware of these products. A vital thing to look for when shopping.

the more oily the longer it lasts usually ;) there are probably exceptions to that but kinda. oils last longer than water in environment ;) the water base ive found the best luck w has been griots VR desssiing and meg hyper with like a 2:1 something like that u less customer specifies but that gives me a good balance of durability and mot being overly dripping glossy... a bit more than satin but withon reason

ideally on the nice ones where customer just seeks looks i do a 3 or 4 to one since thats a satin/oe look

Cerakote plastic trim restorer/protectant.

Walmart sell it as well as amazon.

it is a wipe on ceramic coating. Works amazing.
I'll give this a try. Do you usually use one wipe or two? More?

Applied Cerakote to wifes SUV. 2019 Tuscan , only washed and waxed, never treated trim. Impressed looks new, will apply to Maverick when arrives in a few weeks

I find the wipes to be a waste of money. They also tend to dry out before you can use them all. Just buy a bottle of 303 spray and call it a day. That stuff works great.

Thanks, it might also be cheaper. I just haven't used anything on it yet and need to start since I live in an area that gets a lot of sun and gets really hot (although my truck is mostly covered).

Yes the bottle definitely seems cheaper to me. I get it, I go back and forth to Arizona. The 303 automotive protectant is what you want. It really helps prevent all that UV damage. It's $12.79 on Amazon.

I bought the box from amszon. 18-20 wipes I think. I used the whole box. I put it on heavy and took my time. For a year+ of coverage for $20 is a great deal.
Agree. My box of 10 wipes was plenty to do both bumpers, side skirts, door handles & trim, side mirror trim and bed rail / tailgate trim. Looks substantially better than any of the spray ons I've used over the years. If it holds up as well as Cerakote claims, it's well worth it.

+1 for Cerakote . Easy to apply, just wipe it on. still looks good 6 months later. 303 is great for interior but it will not last on the exterior. Just wait until it rains and see what happens. If you want to apply 303 everytime you wash the truck have at it.
