I noticed this morning that my wiper blades are falling apart. The rubber is separating from the blade. I believe these are Trico and I don't think they lasted that long. What are the best replacement blades for my 24 Maverick? Thanks.

I buy the Michelins at Costco
When they are on sale, it's $7.99 each
They last me 1-2 years, but i also do Rain X.

In the last 6 months, there have been at least 2 threads on this subject. The Ford/Motorcraft OEM drivers side is exactly 23" long, not a common length for aftermarket replacements. The passenger side is 21".

I've used and become an fan of the Bosch Icon wiper blades for many years on all my vehicles. Always been extremely pleased with their performance and lasting durability and will continue to purchase them. I will note though, the factory wiper blades on my MY22 worked well and lasted a long time and I purchased a pair to use up the remaining fordpass points I had after purchasing the truck, those have been on a while now and are still ok, so I've been impressed with the oem ford/motorcraft ones but once they need replaced I'll be back buying the Bosh. Most all will have their own preferences, so if you have a brand you've used and liked in the past, go for it.

I got Rain-X blades. Truck lives in my garage and I only put 6,000 miles a year on it, so they last a while.

Spend the money on silicon. I use PIAA but the brand really does not matter, the material used does.

I did the same or similar and used points to stock up on oil filters and wiper blades for in the future. Well kind of past tense because I've used 3 oil filters so far but haven't needex any wipers yet.

I went with these. They already have the proper adapter installed and come with a second set of rubbers. Two sets of blades for $22 is tough to beat and they have been great so far. Easiest blade swap I've ever done.

Tough to argue with the Bosch Icons but I use the Rain X latitude in conjunction with Rain X all season washer fluid. The combo applies Rain X to the windshield and greatly reduces how much I use the wipers or the speed in which they have to run unless the heaviest of rains.

Truck is mostly garage kept and I will see 2+ years from a set.

Maybe that explains why there is always some washer fluid running down with my 22" driver side wiper.

I bought a bunch of Anco Countour beam blades from rockauto with some other stuff that were $5 each. It's the same Michelin blade Wal-Mart sells for like $18. Kinda a pain to install, but it works. Anco / Trico actually makes most, if not all of the wiper blades...part of the recently bankrupt First Brands! Brace yourself for the next PE firm to buy up the ashes and raise prices + lower quality again.

Bosch Icon 24OE AND 21OE for the win here in Ontario. Clip #4 is the one to use.

Whatever you do, DON’T buy the rockauto-recommended Trico Neoform 162115 21 OE and 162213 22 OE.

They’re much too narrow for the Maverick connect mechanism, and don’t include multiple adapters. When I tried to get a refund, rockauto stonewalled me and said that the manufacturer made the mistake stating compatibility, not them.

Ended up with half my money back, but they’re still listed as compatible.

I ended up going with Reflex WinterFX RID-RWF21OE and RID-RWF22OE. They work great with the included adapter.

You can usually go up a size without issue. I haven't seen a vehicle yet where the wipers are at risk of a collision from an extra half inch on one side.

Heck, my F-250 was "supposed" to have 20" wipers on both sides. I replaced them with 24" wipers and whuddya know; no wiper collisions and it wiped a lot more of the windshield.

I use the Rain X latitude in conjunction with Rain X all season washer fluid. The combo applies Rain X to the windshield and greatly reduces how much I use the wipers or the speed in which they have to run unless the heaviest of rains.
I use the traditional Rain-X. I basically don't need wipers even in moderate rainfall as long as I'm going faster than 30mph or so. Water just blows off. I do need wipers during snowfall, but the snow wipes off a lot easier.

I recently got the windshield replaced and forgot to do some Rain-X. Even in a light rain, the windshield became blurry with water since the water would pool like on the hood of an unwaxed car rather than bead up.
