Backup camera fix Recall is out now

I have a question but it's at the end of my explanation...

I'm going to wait till I do my oil change because they have to change the oil, and then they do an under carriage inspection because I have rust proofing and they have to check it once a year and make sure it's still whatever I don't know. And then I have a little wipes that they can use to make the windshield look like it has rain x or something, don't ask me I have no idea. So that'll all take an hour and half to two hours, so I'm assuming that they'll be able to start the update and then do all the other things while it's updating correct? Or does the update have to just sit there by itself for an hour and a half

I don’t know about the hour and a half but I do know my dealership wants to do these recalls with their mobile service because their techs get a much faster connection for the update away from the shop.

That would be awesome but I can't picture our dealer doing that. But that would be awesome.

I drop off the truck at 8:05 am and it was done at 9:55 am

Does anyone know if by chance that after the recall is done, is the brightness level able to adjust past 50%? I'm not counting on it, but it would be nice as my screen is somewhat dim at max brightness on both CarPlay and Android Auto.

it's much more likely that the ford update service is offline. it often is on thursdays. the tracker status also. ford apparently does maintenance on thursdays, which I suppose is smarter than fridays.

NOT going smooth at my dealership. Went in at 8:45 this morning. After an hour and a half I saw my Mav in the front of the pickup line so went to talk to service advisor. He was on the phone to the guy who did the software update. He was asking him if he did the required "verification" procedure. Of course he hadn't, so they had to drive it back in shop. Was told another 20 minures. After this, he came and updated me every half hour to tell me they were having issues and they had 4 techs working on it, then they had the shop manager working on it. Finally after 3-1/2 hours he asked me if I would like a loaner, because they didn't know how long they'd be at it. He said they had 4 others to do that day and mine was the first one they had ever done. (sounds unlikely but judging from the situation I think I believe it.)

So now I'm home with the 25 "ES SCOP PAY" and boy did I hate the way that thing drove. Will update whenever they get back with me.

My dealer originally was going to send a mobile service tech, but then told me that the "verification" process that has to be done before they release it can't be done away from the shop. Let us know if your dealership does it with mobile.

The truck is just 9 months old and I have had zero deep sleep warnings so I wouldn't think. He did mention they had tried 3 different laptops.

So you never had a recall or you had it fixed? I have a 24 also and have the recall but still waiting for advice from Ford as to when.

I have it fix today, it was the back up camera recall
