Few options for hood deflectors. Two stick directly on the hood leaving the fenders unprotected. I found one that is off the hood and covers the top of the fenders. It is the same brand, AVS, as Ford accessory.

I've seen a couple of pictures in the forum, but only from the front. There was an issue with the holes not matching, but for the price I have decided to give it a try. My son has the same brand on his 2013 Pilot. It is off the hood, secured underneath. I like the look.

I ordered from RealTruck on 5/3 and should be delivered by 5/8. Unfortunately my Maverick ETA to dealership is 5/11-5/17. Pictures will follow.

Update: Finally got my Maverick and installed the deflector. My holes lined up, but the fenders rubbed when closing the hood. I had to file the extra material to make it fit. So far so good. Still happy with my purchase.

That definitely seems superior to the other options, in terms of protection. Not sure I like the look quite as well, but the others appear to leave a small portion of the leading edge of the hood exposed and provide no wrap-around protection for the fender edges.

Let us know how it installs and share a few photos after you're done. Good luck!

I purchased the Auto Ventshade (AVS) - Bugflector II Stone/Bug Deflector - 25980 and I'm glad I did. It looked like the holes did not align at first, but kept with the installation. The fasteners that come with it are a bit short, so I used the spare B196 I had. No hood shaking and it seems solid. Really happy with the way it turned out.

The direction says to remove 4 weather strip pins, wedge the deflector between hood and weather strip. Secure deflector with fasteners and adjust the hood bumpers. The weather strip is a bit loose at the mount points, but It still does its job. I might get longer weather strip pins to fix this.

In the pics I moved the weather strip a bit where you can see the slotted holes and fastener I used. You can adjust the hood deflector right or left a bit (since there's slotted holes). I'm not sure why some have drilled holes...

Damn that's nice. The one I got from Ford is a tape on. Afraid to put it on, worried about drainage of pine needles, ice, water, dirt and salt once installed. It seems it will look good, but will it stay clean and drain. And tape on now adays paint isn't comforting either. Gift from my sweetie.

Tried the glue-on weathertech one, I hated the installation and uninstall was almost worse just because of how tedious the heat gun peel method is. didn't look too bad but not the look I wanted so I grabbed the AVS one. Stuck it on last night, lost a plastic screw immediately and couldn't get the other center hole aligned so I left it bolted at the two edges while I pick up some B196s. Held on great through 30 highway miles and looks amazing with the Alto Blue

Exactly what I have been looking for. I am glad I decided to purchase it. Now I have a resource if I have problems with installation. Thanks

I like this alot better than the LUND that I got. It looks like it'll do a better job. The lund does nothing at deflecting bugs.
Having said that, I did have this on my previous vehicle but took it off. Spring is horrible because we have trees all over the yard. Pollen and buds from the trees that fall in the gap between the deflector and the hood is hard to clean. More work than I'd like.

I had an issue with 3 holes not lining up but it only took a few minutes to drill the mount points on the deflector a bit wider. Nothing bad aside from that, I can't tell if it helped with bugs much but i like the aesthetic of it. I don't regret buying it over the other options

I wish I could be that positive. It's amazing to me they sell a product that doesn't actually fit the vehicle and has fasteners that don't actually fit the holes the are supposed to be going into. Glad there is a fix for it, but it would be nice if the product matched the vehicle!

I went through the touchless car wash for the 1st time... at the end where it blow dries, the deflector was shaking and bending like crazy. Didn't break anything. But was sure scary, it might be normal. I just never noticed this on my other vehicles.
