Nothing rich I even stated I know if mine fails it’s because of me. Number two we all know that we have almost zero track record of the hybrids pulling. 4K with any amount of miles on them .This is rich coming from the guy who routinely exceeds tow ratings and brags about it....
So yes there are plenty of people out there pulling 4K with HF45 even!
A few have yes but if we are using sample sizes that small the 8 speed is better cause I have almost 40k miles of towing well beyond the 4k so by that standard they are bullet proof and all points are moot anyway Again nothing wrong with the hybrid if it fits your life but you sound like the guy that has to try and convince everyone that a hybrid fits all scenarios better. In fact it doesn’t. You just simply ignore the fact that for towing it’s not better. It also has it own set of issues.
As stated before it simply can’t tow as well as an ecoboost because it simply does not have the power consistently. Yes it can when the battery has charge but that won’t last up some long grades or towing at 75mph. At highway speed it can not use the regeneration so so you are left with a weak 4 cylinder.
If towing around town sure but I hit the highway for full days at a time.
