Thanks to our friend @Golfsnob we now have a confirmed, working Auto Start/Stop Delete using just Forscan!

This is the same technique used on the Ford Bronco that was previously mentioned in other threads AND on the Bronco forums. @Golfsnob has both a Bronco and a Maverick and used the technique successfully on both.

I have also used this Forscan technique on my 2023 EB and can happily report it works like a charm. No lights or indicator. Just disabled.

Here's the technique from @Golfsnob:

"You have to change the values in the "AS Built" in the PSCM module address 730-03-01. There are 3 sets of values. In the 3rd set of values change the first two digits from 01 (enabled) to 00 (disabled). Then click write all and follow the key off/on instructions. That's it."

Enjoy! And many thanks to @Golfsnob for saving us all that money :)

I don't want to disable it permanently, but I certainly wish the behavior would change. Multiple times per week I pull up to my driveway and slow to a stop to put it in reverse and back in....and it shuts off, only to immediately start.

Or, I will pull up to a 4-way stop where I don't have the right of way and in that 5 seconds it shuts down.

It's why I am excited for the Livernois tune which adjusts the ASS behavior but doesn't outright disable it....to my knowledge.

About to be a Mav owner so all this is new to me. Current vehicle is a 2007 z71 Colorado. 220k miles. Old school stuff with a clutch pedal, but a formidable cow checkin pasture cruiser.

So as I said very unfamiliar, but can’t it be disabled by a switch on the console? What am I missing?

My son did this when he first bought his 22 ECO boost a year ago. It does work as mentioned.

As I recall, it resets itself everytime you pull the key.

Could be wrong about that, I have a hybrid.

It costs about $200 for the device that turns off a/s/s that plugs into the odb2 port. Many folks have been searching for a working Forscan hack. This is it and if you know how to use Forscan it’s free :)

This fix is persistent and does not reset.

Does this allow you to use it when you need it or permanently turn it off? Reason I ask is I bought the wire around one, and leave the auto start/stop off but theres several long traffic lights I deal with and I can still turn it on just for those. I dont have a laptop or forescan so I cannot do this, nor am I very good with computer coding. I'd be afraid to really fubar my truck.

Sounds like this permanently turns out off.

What seceral people want is it to default to off, but be able to turn it on if desired.
