Just a thought I drive with my heated seats [bad back] and sometime A/C that I dont need yet. going to turn off everything, Thanks...
Heated seats take almost no power.
Trivial. The truck won't even notice.
Use heated seats to your heart ( & back's) content.

Air Conditioner takes quite a bit of power / energy. Vents heater, even more.

Average breakdown:

Heated seats (each) 15 to 45 watts.

Air conditioner 1,000 to 3,000 watts.

Vent heater 2,000 to 6,000 watts.

Measured in my EV which is substantially the same as a Maverick.

And technically speaking 746 watts equals 1 horsepower.

I drove a 22 FX4 the last 3 years, I just got a 25 AWD lariat and confused, I drive maybe 20 miles a day all local driving, I have about 175 miles on it now, says 278 in range down from 320 when I had a full tank and have little more than half a tank now, I rarely hear the engine come on, my mpg is always about 28, the roads I drive theres a light every 75/100yards so am always gliding to next light charging the battery, not pissing off anybody they can all see the light is red or changing, should'nt I be getting MUCH better MPG than 28. I drive like a old man because I am and almost always in traffic having lights so close together its always stop and go, stop and go I though this is where the hybrid shines, am I doing something wrong?
A decent acceleration with traffic is likely to be engaging the ICE pretty quickly.
So your ICE off time is the coast downs mainly, or about level where the 15% or less power need can be met by the EV.
So if you were in an ICE only truck, those coast downs would be helping mileage too.
In this case that regen/recharge is helping your HVB and powering that seat and AC - those probably aren't emptying out your HVB that quick with your driving scenario.

Probably related to some break-in needed still, and not trusting that display yet as it is estimated MPG on the tank or trip so far.

I have a 2025 4K AWD Hybrid and I've been running in sport mode (keeps the engine on while moving and battery topped off), so I get about 0.1 electric miles on an 11-mile commute. The ratio of the commute is 2.75 miles city then 5.5 miles highway then another 2.75 miles city. My average MPG on this route with ~500 miles on the odometer is 32MPG.

Have you tried using the EV coach to learn when you're in and out of electric mode?

Thanks for the info very helpful, my back thanks you too, the heated seats dont get as warm as my FX4 with the cloth seats, but I love the fake leather in the Lariat, the AC is going to stay off till it gets hot its been 60/70s I have to keep the windows open anyway or my dog crys like a baby she goes where I go and owns the back seat.

Well you are doing things the exact opposite to save gas. As long as you know that and are OK with it, fine.

That route should yield about 55 MPG.
You want the engine off as much as possible. Not on as much as possible.

Wait.... did I just get Punk'd????

I'm running sport mode to get engine hours in for the break-in period. I'm liking the feel of sport mode as well, so I might just keep using it. The fuel economy is 8mpg better than my last vehicle even in sport mode so I'm still paying less for fuel. 32mpg with a truck body is still good.

Just putting the info out there for anyone thats curious.

Example of mine:

City 5, Fwy 25, City 5

Warm but not hot 70's F

I left it in normal mode and took it easy on the way home today. 42MPG with ~500 miles on the odometer if it's not in sport.

Coming from a Prius as my last daily driver, I was pretty happy with the mileage I got on my commute home one day this week:

Very nice. Periodically I drive to the tennis courts and only get 35 mpg, but then on the drive home (because it's mostly a downward slope and 35 mph), I'll get 60+ mpg. Makes me feel smart for having bought a hybrid. :)

First off there are no shift points in the hybrid drivetrain.

Secondly, there is no learning curve for driving a hybrid. Put it in drive and go. Less throttle input will result in better mpg. Less use of HVAC and accessories drawing power will result in better efficiency.

Please don’t go around trying to hyper mile your Maverick engaging cruise at 15mph and pissing everyone else off on the road.
Agreed, you don’t want to hold up traffic or folks will start becoming Maverick haters (might call you a Prius name).

Just take the HYBRID badge off and go from this 🖕to this 👍.

It's that easy.

I just drive the thing like I drive any other vehicle. I'm not going to pussy foot it and screw up other traffic to try and get fuel mileage. I do find it a bit too chatty at times. The L/100 kms so far isn't impressing me all that much. I also find the electric doesn't kick in all that often though that's likely due to most of my driving is highway.

The 2024 Mav gasser I traded on the hybrid got pretty close to the same mpg I'm getting with the hybrid. So far, I'm not real impressed. However, it's nowhere near broken in and hopefully it will get better.
I drove a 22 FX4 for 3 years that eco boost got 36/38 on highway and only 20 local, using the cruse on a 100-mile trip I did every weekend I set cruse at about 68 around 1800 rpms. MY NEW 25 Lariat is getting around 28/32 its mixed driving probably more highway, vehicle is new less than 400 miles on it, it could have something to do with break-in period I hope
or me never driving a hybrid before, I don't have a heavy foot so its not that. Either way I love this truck it feels completely different than my 22 FX4, its also a 1.5" higher with the black pkg 19" wheels feels more truck like and has a great stance. The radio is 10x better than the 22 Maverick and works all the time! I dont know what Ford did to the 25 model
besides raise the price but I like it.
