Live data from my Blue Driver obd2 reader.
Blue Driver WAS amazing up to my last vehicle 2016 Honda CRV, scanning your OBD2 & giving you all sorts of information on your vehicle drivetrain, listing TSBs & recalls, giving you a full Maintenance schedule.

2025 Maverick I got none of that, but the live data is still pretty nice, unfortunately it's virtually all engine-related nothing for transmission / hybrid-electric drive except I do get 1 reading for % of traction battery charge (1st picture).

Its quite puzzling that it shows battery-capacity charged rangef from 36.8-49.8% while car is running (it was a 35mph commute), & then I park & then shows range as 34.5-51.4%
I'll have to see what it does during hill climbs.

Blue Driver was really nice for the $ to give you all the TSB technical service bulletin#s for you vehicle + a short synopsis of problem it fixed, gave you a TSB# to Google, also the recalls for your vehicle, it might still be OK for EcoBoost, but its never been very good for hybrids. Come to think of it I think it flat out refused to connect to a Prius have a blurb "bluedriver not compatible with hybrid" so maybe I just got lucky with it.

Cool.
Battery "power" should say percent state of charge. Is that less confusing?

The hybrid battery likes to hover around 50% on the highway.

It will hover closer to 40% in stop n go.

The normal range is 30% to 70%.

Can hit 26 - 28% on a cold morning.
Can hit 72% going down a big hill.

The % is affected by temperature too.

Park at 65% when cold (50°F) and then get in 10 hours later when it's 90°F and the battery SOC may read 69% or 70% even though you didn't run it.

And the reverse too.
On a hot 90°F 5pm commute I'll park with 33% showing. Next Morning at 6am it will show 28%.
