Are Canadians going to stop vacationing in Florida?

I notice we have a lot of Canadians on this forum. I live in Florida and have been hearing that Canadians are sorta boycotting vactions in Fl. Just wondring if this is the case. Please no politics as its not allowed on the forum.

I can't speak for Canadians, but I know many Minnesotans who won't consider Florida vacations for reasons we can't discuss here.

Interesting. My daughter lives there with her husband who was raised there and the also have a huge parcial in Canada they inherited where they regularily hunt and fish. They've never mentioned this to us. We're from Wisconsin.

So it’s true I guess. I’m we enjoy Canadians because in many ways they are like the people in Wisconsin. I hope Canadians win whatever they are pissed about. When we grew up this stuff was not part of everyday life like it seems today.

What I don't understand the dramatic reaction to the problem. I just go about my day and treat everyone with respect. Lots of nasty stuff that happens everyday and everywhere. One could get consumed by it all and carry a burden. To me life is to short, I'm just going to seize the moment and try my best to stay positive and happy despite all the crap that I can do nothing about. I will go where I want and do what I want and refuse to follow the herd.

Not 100% political. There are, in my experience, great people everywhere regardless of which side of whatever fence they are on. We have relatives all over the US. Sadly, the cost of traveling to the states is becoming prohibitive with the exchange rate, so we will put the funds toward a summertime vacation instead.

I would without hestitation, but won't becuase of personal reasons. My neighbours 5th wheel RV is parked in the snow for the winter.
I went to Detroit last spring for a family funeral, Serveral friends questioned my decision to cross the border, all because of perceived unfounded rumours of crossing the border. When I arrived at the U.S. border inspection station, I lowered all the windows in the Maverick, clear view inside , handed the agent my passport, it was scanned, he asked the purpose of my trip, and responded "please give my condolences to the family, drive safe".

We are all the same people. Just some subtle differences.

without discussing politics I can tell you in Vermont we have seen a dramatic decline in Canadians coming across the border and there is a significant percentage of the US population that does not feel safe going or being in Florida. We all know the reason without saying the words.
