You have not seen or heard any previous “stuff about this”? Damn, that must be a pretty big rock you live under. 😉
Every summer, the state of Georgia department of tourism flood the airwaves with "Stay and see Georgia" ads in an effort to get people to spend their vacation money in state.

Years of following current events and I have never seen or heard of Canadians getting ICED at the boarder on their way to Florida. Maybe the Canadian department of tourism decided "Stay and see Canada" wouldn't be as effective as "Leave and face Prison".

Then how can you possibly weigh in intelligently on a topic about Canadians coming to the USA during a trade war ?
Now you've done it, I might as well just say the word and get the thread locked already 😌
Ford Maverick Are Canadians going to stop vacationing in Florida? rainbow-happy

It's hard to discuss this without going into politics because it's 100% political. You probably want to ask your question on site where politics won't get you or anybody trying to answer your question banned for a month.

Maybe just try "googling" something like "are canadians welcome in florida". I got 27 relevant results in 0.67s.

Rather interact with actual Canadians. I'm glad you discovered google though. :)

Breaking news:

Resonance shows its work, though, citing clear-cut evidence that Miami’s population is indeed booming: “University of Florida projections show Miami-Dade’s population — which currently boasts the nation’s largest concentration of foreign-born talent — growing by an astonishing 15 percent by 2030.”

In an annual ranking of U.S. cities that demonstrates how well they support LGBTQ people who live and work in them, Orlando has, for the 12th year in a row, scored a perfect 100%.

The Human Rights Campaign's Municipality Equality Index is in its 14th year. It rates the largest U.S. cities, including in Florida, based on how LGBTQ-friendly they are.

In Central Florida, Orlando was the only city that got a 100% on the index. That's due to a number of factors like the city's nondiscrimination laws, municipal services for queer people, policies for reporting hate crimes, and city leaders' commitment to equality.

Other cities in Florida that earned a perfect score in the ranking are Wilton Manors, Oakland Park, Hollywood, Ft. Lauderdale, St. Petersburg, Tampa and Miami.

The Human Rights Campaign said overall a record-breaking 132 cities across the U.S., earned its highest score of 100, up from 130 cities that got a perfect score in 2024. Only five cities nationwide scored zero points.

I just read your original post and thought you might have learned something by combining a little research with your questioning of forum Canadians.
Living in the PNW I interact with quite a few Canadians. They used to come down and do a lot of shopping at our outlet malls and Costco's, but now they have to pay "taxes" on goods they buy in the US at the border due to reciprocal tariffs. Some of our local businesses have really taken a hit.

What does that have to do with Canada and tariffs? And what does any Floridian's opinion (mine included) matter compared to that of "actual Canadians," who are the ones who decide where to vacation?

A couple of people who posted inferred that Florida is a bad place. Plus this thread is not specifically about tariffs.

The boycott is about tariffs.

I've never joined any boycotts because the majority of them hurts the middleclass workers. The fat cats are so rich that its a non event.

OK. Canadians may have a different opinion. Disney+ recently learned a lesson about boycotts.
