That is my fear too. Hopefully by the time they burn out there will be aftermarket or accident take offs because I'd hate to pay $1500 for a replacement.I would think that running these all the time will lead to replacing the headlamps sooner.
They are long lasting LEDs. There is not really any sort of chance one would burn out from regular use. Any burnout would be a defect. Most are rated for 30,000 hours. Which would be 10 years of driving 8 hours per day 365 days of the year. That is my fear too. True but my light bulbs for my house are rated to last 10 years and they burn out before that. They are long lasting LEDs. There is not really any sort of chance one would burn out from regular use. As noted above, not really a concern with LED units.I would think that running these all the time will lead to replacing the headlamps sooner.
Can't compare lights for your house to automotive grade lighting. Also, lamps inside your house have significantly more use than what you'd find in a typical vehicle.True but my light bulbs for my house are rated to last 10 years and they burn out before that.
Are they LED bulbs? Or CF (or even worse, incandescent)? If they are LED then there is something wrong with the brand you bought. CF or old school are not going to last that long, even if the box claims it will. Often the lightbulb box will say something like "10 years life at a usage rate of 2 hours per day". Or some other weasley way to define the lifetime.True but my light bulbs for my house are rated to last 10 years and they burn out before that.
They were cheap bulbs but are we forgetting how much we paid for our truck? Just a little worried that's all. It will last as long as it will last and I'll take care of it if it goes out.Are they LED bulbs? Or CF (or even worse, incandescent)? What's the purpose of turning off the daytime running lights?
