Really miss that, it would give some real info on how the hybrid engine runs.

Yes. There are multiple OBDII options. Bluetooth, corded, live monitors etc.

ScanGauge II

ScanGauge III

Edit: Learned today that Banks Power makes one as well. Interesting.

I have experience with both of these. They are great full time live monitors. There are cheaper Bluetooth options if you don't want this data long term.

Idles at 1250 RPM (1500 in extreme cold)
5600 is rev limit
Normal acceleration in the 1750-2800 range

Really though - Is there something that I can answer about it? I have watched this info every day for over a year now.

Thank you. This is the information I'm curious about.

But, yes, a question: What RPM does the cCVT choose when I'm just cruising down the highway at legal'ish freeway speeds?

~2000 RPM on the freeway.

The way the eCVT transmission works, the gas motor can stay the same RPMs even if wheel speed changes. It's pushing the truck forward whether it's pushing hard or soft, fast or slow.

Need a (bluetooth usually) OBD reader, the Torque app (Android for sure, not sure about Apple) then do a little bit of hacking to enable Torque to display in Android Auto (Again not sure about Carplay).

When you say "hacking" to enable the Android Auto to display the app, what do you mean? Add it to the menu list or actually hack the software?

I have an old Scan Gauge II that I've used on various vehicles for the last 15+ years. I can't find a way for it to display the HVB state of charge on a hybrid. It does have the set up option for the hybrid, but I can not find a display gauge option for SOC. Any info?

Yeah, there is a way to do it. It will require you mailing it back to them with $25 for a firmware update.

Linear Logic would also be able to provide you with the XCode PIDs for State-of-Charge. I know there is a member on here with a white truck that uses this and it works well. Good reminder for me to send mine!

Confirming that these instructions worked for me when I set this up last night. Took just a few minutes to get it all working.

Just had to spend 5 bucks on Torque and now I can see my revs and my HVB Charge, instead of trying to interpret wtf that blue box is trying to tell me on the EV Coach screen. Works great with my years-old bluetooth OBD scanner.

I had to import some PIDs into torque before I could get my Hybrid Battery charge state to show properly. Another forum user posted them in another thread, but I will shamelessly share it here. Remove the .txt from the attached file and import the csv into torque.
