Thanks, nice to hear from folks that have not had any issues. (except trailer hitches )
Love your avatar. Shoot, Adolf Hitler believed that Kilroy could be the name or codename of a high-level Allied spy. I find WWII stories and factoids very interesting. One of my favorite books is Bill Mauldin's book about the Fighting 45th Infantry in WWII. I had several uncles that served together in the 45th.

Yeah, no issues at all here after a couple of months, although the truck has been driven only about 1,500 miles (it will pick up, so to speak, next year when/if my wife has to use it as a commuter vehicle).

Reading the reviews on anything is a trap. People who hate products love to bad mouth and give it a 1 star. Few people want to rave about it and give it 5 stars. Everyone that is satisfied is not talking. Similar to a forum. Plenty of hype and some small to serious issues

I know I can’t remember all the issues but below are some of them. I would use it as a guide of things to keep an eye out for but not to stress over.

Fuel tank recall - problem solved going forward
Seat belt recall - problem solved going forward

Paint chips (rocks)
broken front grill (probably a 🪨 rock)

Windshield cracked (rocks and warranty)

Transmission fluid overflowing (overfilled during build, Ford said this issue has been addressed)

Ford pass remote start on hybrids running rich and turning the CAT red hot is a computer issue that Ford needs to fix.

Various alignment issues from a few people. Should be an easy fix for any of them. I’ve heard steering wheel shakes at 70 MPH and truck pulls the right from two different people.

Half shaft and control arm squeak/leak - both got replaced under warranty.

Radio freezing - Ford said the fix is coming next week.

Various rattles from different components that got lose, easy fix for most of them so far.

Rain leaks into back door because of improper sealant behind door panel. Fixed by the dealer without issue.

poor sealant/weld where truck bed meets the windshield (bottom left/driver side). This is an eye sore more than an issue.

Hood shake that has numerous solutions.

Dead on Arrival. One hybrid has been DOA and status is unknown at this point. It’s sad but sometimes there is a dud.

Some people have noted that when they hit a deer, or semi truck their truck no longer functions.
Great post.

Id also add the paint/seal where the rear window and bed meet seemed to have some issues.

I think I'm the only one with a loud thud at slow speed over speedbumps, at least no one else has mentioned it. It seems to be when the suspension unloads. Both back seats are latched and its not the tire jack tools etc. One could say it sounds like the tailgate dropping open. lol. I had some clock issues that included being stuck at 00:00 after the time change adjustment but that went away eventually. 1200 miles since delivery on Oct 14.

This is a great summary.

My truck would not start at the dealer after I purchased it. Then I realized I put my weathertech mat in on top of the gas pedal.

I've also got some rock chips already but that's kinda par for the course driving on the highway in the winter. Got a touchup pen.

There will always be some problems. I learned from Marketing years and years ago in college, negative things always get me mentioned as compared to positive things. I think it was about 5 to 1 negative to positive. So keep that in mind, problems are a small percentage, but those are the ones you hear making you think it is widespread.
Make me happy & I may tell only 1 person, make me unhappy & I will tell everyone, that's how people are.

This is a very good list. That’s exactly what I’ve seen as well

Ok... I had one problem when I picked up my Maverick from the dealership but I fixed it myself .. so not really a problem. I think the prep guy was from Australia.

I love the vehicle and have no mechanical or driveability issues. But.......

Software glitches.....absolutely.

They don't affect my usability but it makes you wonder when will those OTA updates occur as everything in the infotainment screen for revisions is the same as the day it arrived in October and I do have it connected to home Wi-Fi (primarily for large infotainment updates as one can expect the most for the ever changing phone woes).

Do powertrain updates occur OTA or Wi-Fi is the real question.

Going to start a new thread on this to see what other peeps have encountered. I know of a Bronco sport with its share of software glitches so it runs in the family

I've had my XL 2.0 AWD w/4k tow pkg since Dec 24th. The only problem I had was the clock would not display the correct time after setting it several times. That issue resolved itself a few days later. Other than that, 450 miles trouble free. Great gas mileage and excellent handling. I just wish the XL had cruise control.
