Every other god damn day someone dredges up some old post about electric heat saying it doesn't exist. Perhaps it wouldn't be so annoying if it wasn't wrong.

Get off my ass.
Wow touchy much.

Nothing
update; and i'm at about 3000 miles now.
i was able to update the firmware for my radio and 99% of my problems are solved. i can actually have programmed stations and switch stations now without system freezing.
i was not able to do the update with a hotspot from my phone.
when i pulled it into my raceshoppe a week ago i was able to use my shop wifi and the update was done before i finished my first maintenance/oil change.
How did you do the update? I can't get radio stations on mine either and I was just going to bring it into Ford and have them take care of it.

Seeing all these threads from folks reporting all manner of problems. I was wondering how many people have taken delivery and have experienced no problems at all.

2700 miles so far on my XLT hybrid. Very happy so far. Have had many trips averaging 45 mpg+. Ordered September 9. Received it January 13. Full size spare is the only option. Had a spray in liner done locally.

Reading the reviews on anything is a trap. People who hate products love to bad mouth and give it a 1 star. Few people want to rave about it and give it 5 stars. Everyone that is satisfied is not talking. Similar to a forum. Plenty of hype and some small to serious issues

I know I can’t remember all the issues but below are some of them. I would use it as a guide of things to keep an eye out for but not to stress over. Edit - these are from other owners on the MTC. I’m just summarizing them

Fuel tank recall - problem solved going forward
Seat belt recall - problem solved going forward

Paint chips (rocks)
broken front grill (probably a 🪨 rock)

Windshield cracked (rocks and warranty)

Transmission fluid overflowing (overfilled during build, Ford said this issue has been addressed)

Ford pass remote start on hybrids running rich and turning the CAT red hot is a computer issue that Ford needs to fix.

Various alignment issues from a few people. Should be an easy fix for any of them. I’ve heard steering wheel shakes at 70 MPH and truck pulls the right from two different people.

Half shaft and control arm squeak/leak - both got replaced under warranty.

Radio freezing - Ford said the fix is coming next week.

Various rattles from different components that got lose, easy fix for most of them so far.

Rain leaks into back door because of improper sealant behind door panel. Fixed by the dealer without issue.

poor sealant/weld where truck bed meets the windshield (bottom left/driver side). This is an eye sore more than an issue.

Hood shake that has numerous solutions.

Dead on Arrival. One hybrid has been DOA and status is unknown at this point. It’s sad but sometimes there is a dud.

Some people have noted that when they hit a deer, or semi truck their truck no longer functions.

edit -here is the link to a working spreadsheet with all the issues above and more.

with the help of this forum is how!
search SSM 50411 or firmware update.
the screen on the radio itself will require a little searching to find, you have to sweep or slide through (not correct computer speak... ) screens to find it but once you start playing with it, its super simple.
i had to type in my password to my shop wifi into the radio was the hardest part.
also, i think since my reception also improved that it helped sound quality.

I've had mine since Oct 26/21 and have had no issues: Have 2700 miles on it. We went to North Carolina at Christmas and averaged 32 mpg and had no problem climbing the mountains. I have the XLT 2.0 eco boost front wheel drive. Super little truck.

Only have 200 miles on my XLT awd Maverick but no problems so far. I have only done short rides to stores and stuff but will be doing a longer trip in April.

I’m waiting for my Mav to be built. I have avoided worrying about all these issues but the glowing cat has me concerned. Remote start in the cold NE part of the country is a must have. Waiting to see what @fordvideoguy can dig up on this problem.

Took delivery last month. Driven 600 miles so far and had zero real issues.

The only flaws I've noticed so far are very nitpicky, so I don't really count them. But I'll go ahead and list them here anyway: 1) The left tailgate cord is not tight when the tailgate is lowered. 2) The driver's side front fender is placed on the car very slightly askew.

Are there a number of things that I'd like to see have done differently? Sure, but once again, nothing major. For a first-year design and initial release, I'm really impressed with the Maverick.

750 miles in. No issues so far. Knock on wood.
Now I am pushing 5,000 miles. Still no issues other than a couple of rock chips. I gotta tell you, I love ♥💓Lane Centering/Adaptive Cruise Control💓♥. I only actively take control of the steering wheel about 1 minute of my 22 minute drive to work. It works so much better on the Maverick than any vehicle I've driven. When I drive one of my kids vehicles, it feels like the stone ages.

1500 miles, received in Oct. The radio was a bit glitchy in November but has been fine since. I used to get a loud thud when going over speedbumps at a certain speed but the escape lowering springs solved that. 🤷‍♂️ :ROFLMAO: ps, I still go the same speed over the bump.
