According to motorbiscuit 2025 maverick will cost over $3k more than 2024 maverick . I guess that makes my 22 worth more as a used vehicle .

Ford has to make up for the money they're losing with the THOUSANDS of 2024 xl and XLT's that can't be sold, and are sitting in dealer storage Lots.
Someone has to pay for the discounts that they may offer on the 24s

It depends on the configuration. Do your own research, rather than relying on a click-bait article.

That's not exactly news. I knew this when I ordered my '25 in August. The price increase didn't deter me, partly because I'm getting what I want (AWD hybrid) and because I'm getting a little more for the money. The 360 camera, sync 4 and the bigger screen, improved CV axles, and AGM battery are all nice improvements. I'm not saying it's $3k worth of improvements, necessarily, but it's definitely something.

That said, I don't have the truck yet, it's been sitting in St Paul since the 1st waiting on a transport. But all in all, I think I'll be getting the truck I want for a price I'm comfortable with. Besides, pretty much everything is more expensive now than it was last year, so I didn't have sticker shock when I ordered my 25.

This is completely dependant on the options you pick. When I priced out a 2024 Lariat back in July, and then priced out a 2025, the 2025 was within $200cdn with more features.

But yeah, if you get the base xl model, I'm sure the 2025 is more. You also get more stuff standard. Which I know lots of people don't care about.

Price increases are inevitable. Just like wages increase(maybe not at the same rate, but they still increase). It's all relative.

Yea, it makes our 22s seem to be worth more in INFLATED dollars. In other words, mostly an illusion. And unless you're replacing your Maverick with a bicycle, you're gonna pay the new prices at the other end.

I'm not in this group of buyers, but I suspect the only ones who are really making out are the disciplined people who bought absolutely stripped XL hybrids for $21,500 (after shipping). Because Ford stupidly underpriced them (that error has since been undone).

A $30,000 Maverick at 3.5% inflation means the price is naturally rising by $1,050 per year. In other words, $3,000 of the current increase is just dollars inflating courtesy of our collective lack of fiscal restraint (plenty of blame to go around for that).

The bottom dollar price has gone up in large part because there is no longer a FWD EcoBoost option. So the prices incorporated either $1200 for Hybrid or $2220 for the EcoBoost AWD.

The increased base price for the MY25 Maverick can almost entirely be explained by the fact that the FWD Eco is no longer an option.

I don’t know much about markers

but I never heard people clamoring for rams.
they have their market share..Super dutys have their place up there next to Ford but still inferior in payload /tow rating but they are more affordable tho. TRX was always cheaper than Raptor R ( not in production anymore but rumor has it is coming back). Competition and consumer choices is good

Not to go off on a tangent, but I was under the impression that the new Warlock trim was replacing TRX as the 'performance' trim to compete with Raptor.
