My phone connects to sports headphones for running, headphones for work, works at home with two bluetooth speakers. My phone also connects to two other vehicles. The problem is only on the ford.

In the video my caller hung up a long time ago, no connection on my phone either, but the Maverick screen still has a connection. If this was the only glitch I would suspect the phone too, but I have over 10 glitches in my car at the moment.
if the problem is pretty consistent maybe try pairing up a friends phone and see if you can recreate the problem? this is such a tricky problem to debug because there isn't a lot of visibility that I'm aware of.

I managed to take a video of the new glitch. As usual, no one will believe me without video. Firstly, I can't receive a call, I have to press 10-20 times to answer. Secondly, after the call ends, it stays on the screen and you can't switch it off.

Are you going to draw memes and say ford has nothing to do with adroid or I have the wrong smartphone? Or are we going to accept reality?

First off, my screen looks nothing like yours once I am in wireless android auto. In android auto, my screen is a duplication of my phone screen. When the phone rings, I can either answer it through the steering wheel on touching the screen (a small quarter inch space appears across the top of the screen with a green phone handle).

Your screen is displaying what my screen looks like BEFORE it completely boots up into android auto. 30 seconds after I turn on my truck, a the big android auto logo appears on the screen, then the screen turns into an image of my phones screen.

I really think you have a bad head unit.

You do have serious problems with that radio. I saw the video with the backup camera that alerted cars coming from the left but did nothing for the cars on the right. I saw the video where you couldn't turn the volume up or down it just sat there. I saw a video where you were driving down the highway and your screen showed the backup camera. I'm pretty sure all those were from your vehicle, but I could be wrong. I just think the first post of you falling asleep and the car not alerting you just kind of started this all off on the wrong foot. But I do agree your car is definitely f***** up. Can I use that word?
I do know that in my 2022 F-250 you CAN drive forward with several views of the rear "cameras" on the screen. Not the front camera though. Not sure what year Ford started that...but I do it all the time to watch my bed contents and boat behind me. Maybe the Mavs allow that.

Ok, two things...

1) the Pre-Collision Assist - DOES WORK!!
Has happened to me, twice in the last 25 months of ownership.

2) I replied to your "Sound" thread, with a thread from Reddit.
Your not the only one.. With an issue..

Interesting idea.

I wonder what's the effect of pairing phone by BT with the truck system for it doing the phone calls, and at the same time doing cabled Android Auto? (I know if you are doing wireless Android Auto, you have an adapter to the USB port, but truck doesn't know that)

I've not used Andoid Auto - you seem to confirm once your phone is connected that way - the phone should be setup for use thru the truck mic/speakers, and BT pairing would be a duplicate method, or problematic method.

I don't believe that's Sync 3 - see the cubby hole. Small screen - non-Sync system.

Sounds like something chewing through wires and causing weird shorts. Maybe water damage on one of the modules.

That is a good point. My wife was having issues on her RAV4 where it kept showing that the vehicle was in snow and mud mode or, I'm sorry mud and sand mode. So she turned it to normal and then it would just pop on again. When they went in and checked it looked like a chipmunk or a squirrel or something had chewed through some of the wires and that was causing the problem. They replaced them and haven't had that problem since

There is no wireless carplay or andriod auto on pre-MY25 Mavs for one thing, not without an adapter. He isn't using Android auto, just connecting to the Connected Touch Radio (XL/XLT) or Sync 3 (Lariat) system via Bluetooth which still allows you to make calls and play music from your phone without using android auto. It is glitchy, but if you don't feel like buying an adaptor it is much easier than plugging in your phone all the time.

The six stages of debugging. As a programmer, I went through these so many times. It is so real. Same with car software. If you can't show me it happened, I'll start by saying "that can't happen".

Note that in this video my phone is not connected via cable. This is just a bluetooth call.

Yes it is, I don't even connect adroid auto, just bluetooth, for calls.

I also connect via bluetooth. I have a wireless bluetooth connector that turns the screen into the screen on my phone.
