Hi all, new to the forum and to the Maverick. I am in process of making a deal on a leftover 2025 model FWD Hybrid XLT. The car has following options aded:
1. Floor Liners $135.00
2. Ford Co-pilot 360 1.0 $795.00

Base Price is 30,645, with options and delivery charge the total MSRP is $33,270.00

The dealer has agreed to $28,300 price + $2k tax + $500 dealer fee + $375 doc fee + $175 title/reg fee, and some other small fees I cant remember, for a total of $31450 out the door cash price.

Is this a decent deal for NJ? Thanks!

Wally Welcome to The forum 🤝

$33,270.00 down to 28,300.00 seems good.
I would question some of the fees, but I would not wait too long.

You know what they say you snooze you lose.

Taxes in Wisconsin are only 5% and have them drop the dealers fee or give you a good reason

Or they say pound salt. The dealer has NO requirement to appease you other than the desire to sell. I haven't seen too many Ford dealers having a bankruptcy sale since 2020. Yes it is nice to get the price you want but until you own a dealership and handle the costs you have no idea what their profit margin is. What the taxes are in Wisconsin is irrelevant to someone in New Jersey.

Fees are a bit out there. However, the fact you have an OTD price that's lower than the original MSRP (so, not even OTD yet) is good. At least through the dealer's eyes, it's a win-win. You get a better OTD price, but they still get some $$ from the transaction through their fees.

Honestly, if I were in your shoes I would take this deal and get on the road with my brand new truck.

What’s the $500 dealer fee for?
They all do that one. Never seen it be negotiable.
The salesman’s commission comes out of that one.
Your price sounds good. Buy the Maverick and
Fagetaboutit !

You likely paid it, some dealers hide a lot more than $500 in the deal.

In Ohio the $500 would have to be listed as : additional dealer profit, or something similar . The document fee is ridiculous. That crap is all on computer, and is spit out like bad chewing gum!

Always negotiate out the door price. Refuse to pay stealership fees. Give them $30k out the door. Then stop at middle of $30500.

2025 model is sucking curtailments out the stealership. Ask the stealership if they want another month of curtailment if truck does not sell by end this week!

Just for reference I paid 34k out the door for my 25 XLT Hybrid with AWD and 4k tow package.
