Scheduling service on a machine before those folks who did not buy the machine from your company is a totally different matter than REFUSING FACTORY WARRANTY work all together
I never said refuses to do factory warranty

See post #41. I NEVER claimed they would refuse to do the warranty work. I said " But if you need a recall or warranty work done the closest dealer MUST do it but on their schedule not yours. Meaning their customers will get scheduled ahead of you and don;t even think about a loaner vehicle unless Ford supplies it. " I stand by this. Unlikely if you bought your vehicle elsewhere you are getting a loaner UNLESS Ford supplies it. Dealers are not in the habit of loaning vehicles to someone who did not buy from them. Yes they have to do the recalls and warranty but when THEY decide they have the time. Now if you are NEW to the area they may want to attract your business and get right to it. In today's world it is very easy for them to run the VIN, see that you bought it 2 years ago out of state while living 10 miles from that dealer.
EDIT: the example of my relative and the Nissan was to show that damage in shipment is NOT covered under warranty by Nissan at least. Ford might say "oh well a third party damaged it but we will eat the cost." Doubtful

You can negotiate the doc fee.
I only paid $150.
And all the DIAs. I walked on one deal because we agreed on a price before taxes and fees. Turns out their doc fee is $700. Told them to enjoy their car. They called me a few days later and agreed to lower the vehicle price before taxes and fees by $700 but the doc fee had to stay.

Thank you! i never heard of Granger, but am reading they seem to be a no nonsense dealer with volume pricing. Has anyone here ordered from them and had their car shipped? I'm really wondering now if that may be a better approach.
An awful lot of people have bought from Granger. I mean a lot.
I’m one of them. Best car buying experience I ever had.
They will give you the price in writing and it does not change.

I drove 350 miles to buy the truck. A lot of people buy one way tickets and drive back. They will pick you up at the airport.
And they won’t try to sell you ‘window etching’ which is basically like selling you a jar of pixie dust. WTF.
