I have a 2022 hybrid that I'm planning to start towing an enclosed trailer turned camper with electric brakes (Im in the mountains and would rather have the brakes than not, im not here for the "you dont need trailer brakes" discussion). The redarc system seems easy enough and is the current plan, but I was wondering how OEM I can stay. Does anyone have any documentation on the difference between the wiring under the dash/to the lights on the hybrid vs the 4k tow package? The brake controller and 7/4 pin seem to be standard across ford trucks 2015 and later so I was thinking a salvage yard to get those and then order the gain and manual brake panel, if everything else is possible.
I think it'd just be nice to have it integrated if at all possible, but again I've heard nothing but good about the redarc, so I'm not upset if that's genuinely the better option. This is mostly for the conversation and probing the possibility. Thanks all
