Brake Controller Settings

I did a quick search and didn't see anything come up. I know the unit is working, but I can't see where my gain is set. I've gone through every screen where I thought it would show up, but nothing shows. Truck is XL eco with tow-package. What the hell am I missing??

if you move the slider on the controller the gain should pop up on the dash.

T hat's what I figured would happen. I guess it's back to the dealer again.

The +/- buttons on the controller don't bring up the gain on the screen either? Is the trailer connected when you are doing this? Pretty sure it needs to be and there's no other way to see the set gain.

Trailer hooked up, brakes definitely working on the trailer. I can feel the difference as I messed with the gain, just no graphic feedback as to what was going on.

There was a recall for the trailer brake controller which I had done on mine over a year ago, my trailer brakes would work on the slider but not show the gain settings on the dash. I had it fixed under warranty, the way I understood it was the software for 4k package wasn't uploaded onto the dash unit, sounds like yours might be a variation of this.

Realize this is an old thread, but did you ever get this fixed? Mine is having the same exact issue, and I believe I’ve already had the recall completed a while back.
