Thanks for all the info ParagonDetail. Completely agree that many of us the $1,000-$1,200 is too much but well worth it for those that can afford it. DIY is a nice way of doing it. Are metallic paints a bit thicker as there is an upcharge and ordered Metallic Alto Blue. Was also looking at PPF and decide in late January to order a DYI ceramic coating from R1 coating. Two things that concerned me is one the product came frozen in February. Customer service said the product will be fine as the chemical composition did not change. When asked how long of a shelf life as do not expect delivery now till September or later with a later October order. They told me about 1 year, but shine a light into the open bottle to see if there are any crystal. If so don't use the product. For a DIY there are a lot of products out there. You could use a wash and wax product that leaves protection behind when you wash, you could use a spray wax or spray sealant, or you could try an entry level coating. I’d say it depends on your skill level and your comfortability is.
Question ParagonDetail, does the statements made by customer service sound true to you?
