I have 31k on my '23 and have had it 15 months. So far no problems. My wife also has a '23 and probably 18 mos old and 29k on it. She had a bad axle joint fixed under warranty other wise no problems.
There is a menu item that lets you change this. On the default auto it set the truck to 72 degrees and either turns on heat or AC to achieve that. You can change the menu item to last and it will come on to wherever you left it when you turned off the truck.
When I hear stories like this and my girlfriend's experience with her dealer and her maverick. I really hope all manufacturers go to online ordering and get rid of these archaic dealer practices.
I'm a firefighter/paramedic who works on a technical rescue team. A lot of our rescues are in the mountains in bad weather. My last car I call a micro-van (Mazda 5) got up slippery hills better than many of the other members with pick ups, SUVs, 4x4s,Jeeps, etc. The difference is good snow...
I have a hard roll up. I checked out the demos at a local dealer. And I bought the backflip X4S I like that it doesn't block the rear window. It is easy to remove if needed but I haven't had to do that and I think it would be very rare situation. I will probably add an Elevate or equivalent...
I would like that too if there is an aftermarket solution. I just got my Maverick a week ago and I am really enjoying using the sunroof with back window open. Would be nice to be able to open the rear window on the fly.
Any word if order banks will be closing?
Doesn't seem as crazy as last year. Maybe because higher prices especially hybrid, increased interest rates or higher production capability with 3rd shift.
As supply chain issue decrease and dealers have stock you will be able to negotiate with dealers again for a decent deal. This will take longer for a Mav.
For ordering I do think the higher prices have some looking towards other brands.
My girlfriend and I ordered hybrid XLT Mavs. Hers is red with a build week of 8/6 and mine is CG with build week of 8/28. Although, I am thinking of changing the color to Area 51.
Yes, and knock on wood it hasn't had any major problems. Shocks, brakes, etc. A clutch at 160k and I just put wheel bearings on it a few months ago with 270k+ and that was the first time they were done.
If I was ordering a 2024 it would either be an XL or something else. My cutoff is $28k (30k including taxes, etc) as this is my day to day/ work vehicle, I am not spending a fortune on it. It still isn't bad priced just more than I would be willing to spend.
I wouldn't go with Eco for me as I...
I think making the Maverick upscale would hurt sales and profit. Many of us buying the Mav because it is an affordable vehicle with a good amount of space and good fuel economy. I think having a small affordable truck Ford hopes people will upgrade to a bigger one in the future and become long...
The Maverick and Ranger are completely different vehicles. I would have never considered a Ranger if the Maverick didn't exist. It is about $5000 more expensive and less fuel economy which makes it undesirable for many wanting an inexpensive vehicle. If you have a need for the Ranger's...
I am a little disappointed in Ford with the hybrid no longer being the base engine. It was the ONLY vehicle where a hybrid was the base engine besides vehicles like a Prius which doesn't have a gas option. Every other vehicle including Ford's other models you have to spend more to get a hybrid...
I will be using my Maverick for hauling Whitewater Kayaks as well. Build week 8/28. I've done the Nantahala and some others in that area. Great rivers! I am in the Northeast and spend a good amount of time every summer up on the Penobscot, Kennebec and Dead rivers and Deerfield, Millers and...
I have heard but not sure if true that allocations for Mavericks is not only about dealers overall sales but sales of hybrids/ Mavericks of previous year. So, If large dealers weren't pushing the hybrids/Mavericks they might not get a lot of allocations for those models.
I have no idea if...
I didn't get a chance to post this yesterday but my girlfriend and mine both got emails yesterday. We ordered the same day. We live about an hour apart so we both used local dealers. So psyched!
