When I picked up my Mav in Kansas I had a big cross wind and it whistled. I ALMOST returned it, but the wife and I had a 500 mile journey back home. I figured that a little silicone would fix it and it absolutely did the trick.

I don't envy the windshield replacement guy having to peel that back off when you inevitably need a new windshield.

everyone has an opinion(and that is worth what...?)-some people are convinced the only good tire costs $500 each.I like the Continentals because I've never had a problem with them. Are there better tires?Sure, but some people wear a SEIKO watch and some wear a ROLEX(both serve the same function)

Yes,…. I know a lot of cars come with mediocre tires, but I was specifically asking about the continentals because I had heard good things about Continentals… never owned them myself until I got this Maverick. I was just curious what all the bad remarks were for. I remember Firestone’s reputation blowing up on old Ford Explorer’s but I just never heard Continental being dogged out as much as I’ve heard on this site.

FWIW I like my Contintal tires on my truck.
Besides, I all ready paid for them so they are staying on til they are worn out. They handled great in the snow and that is a key factor in tire performance where I live.

I had this problem with one of my cars, once.

I pulled over, opened the trunk, and threw all the dwarves over the embankment.

Problem solve!

I have had good luck with continentals higher end tires on multiple cars. but the stock ones on the mavericks are not great.

After 1000 miles on my 2024 Maverick, two of my tires looked like this.

And you know what that turns into after 10-20,000 more miles. It turns into this picture below.

This is NOT an "OPINION". It's a FACT. and I am not the only one. Many of the Maverick owners on here have experienced this exact problem with the factory continental tires. A tire DEFECT is not an OPINION.

I generally like continental tires too. Ive had their extreme contact tires on multiple vehicles and I like them a lot. But the factory Maverick continentals are cheap and defective.

hmmmm... my 22XLT has little over 33,000 and they still look like this, second picture is the "dimple".Perhaps driving conditions affect your tire life.

Nice looking truck. I put almost 500 miles on my '25 Lariat hybrid AWD the first three days, then I wrecked it. It's been almost two months in the body shop waiting on parts with no availability date. 😒 💔
