When I hit the Start button, the A/C comes on automatically (which I don't want to happen). I looked around but can't find a setting to turn that off. Can someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Thanks. I live in AZ, so it's too dry for the computer's liking?
It's got both a sun load/humidity sensor. I assume it doesn't like the values it's seeing from that and the multiple temp inputs in the cabin.

Can I ask why? It's an extremely efficient variable speed compressor in the hybrid so not much of an efficiency hit. If you just don't care for cold air to the face you can do foot/defrost vents or angle the front vent louvers outward. If you have the windows down, just turning HVAC off will solve the A/C problem. I see these threads pop up with some regularity so I know you aren't unique in wanting this... I'm just curious :)

Most people dont want to have to fight HAL 9000 just to drive their vehicle. The way the Mav does the AC is frankly very strange. No other car I, or most people, have driven will try to automatically turn on the AC and blast you with cold air at random. I also dont want to have to change my vents depending if the AC is on or not, I have them where I like them.

I get why they want to keep humidity down, but if AUTO is turned off, the system should listen to that instead of ignoring the user's command and usurping control.

The A/C comes on even at 7:00 in the morning when it's 70 or 75 degrees outside (I'm in AZ). I just want to roll down the windows and let the fresh air come in.

Granted it's just a two second fix to shut off the A/C, I just hate all these "AI" algo-bots (not just Ford) that think it knows what's best for me.

I think this is the disconnect from my experience. I have the app scheduled remote start the vehicle 5-15 minutes (5 minutes in summer, 15 minutes in winter) before I get in to leave for work. So whenever I get in and head out the vehicle has long since reached whatever equilibrium it's going to stay at for the entire trip.

If you turn off the blower fan, the AC shuts off and stays off!
I personally always do this with any vehicle. Whether it is not as much of an issue nowadays is immaterial; I just don't want any vehicle having to do too much when I am turning it on.

My 25 starts the A/C almost all the time which is annoying enough, but sometimes it will turn on the heated seats at the same time. All that despite choosing "last known settings."Now figure that one out.

I find the fact that I can’t regulate the temperature from the Ford app so I can pre-cool my car in Arizona truly annoying. I know that I can leave the air-conditioner on high and when I start the vehicle with the app, it’ll come on high, but I should be able to alter it like every other manufacturer allows with their auto start features. Come on Ford.
Maybe I should ask not ask too loud They’ll offer it by subscription for 20 bucks a month

What's the setpoint on your cabin ventilation? Turn it up.

This is effectively the same as turning off the main HVAC power...either action is the same result, and it's the only way to prevent the random AC application.
