I’ve played with all of them. None are ideal. Sport is a little ridiculous with twice the RPM and I dont know what they were trying to do with the engine braking. I hit 2200 rpm or so going straight, let off going down a little hill and see 3500!To risk being Captain Obvious the II, have you tried different driving modes? I have a Nissan that is sluggish and feels underpowered in ECO mode. Put it in Normal, it peps up. Put it in Sport and off we go! Maybe a stupid suggestion you've already tried, but I didn't see it mentioned. Oh, and I don't think there's a "grind gears" or "not grinding gears" mode. [Now he's being Captain Sarcastic.] The grinding, to me, is a super scary problem, one that may be able to be replicated more readily than the power issue.
but I don’t think I should have to fish through different modes to make this thing shift to a adequate gear. It should just go.
