I just picked up my 23 Area 51 Lariat on Friday. As I'm driving home, I noticed I'm missing adaptive cruise control. I went into the dealership in July of 2022 and built the truck on the website and specified everything I wanted on it. When the ordering opened in September, I went it and they told me there were some new options including the black appearance package and Tremor package. I opted for the black appearance package and skipped the Tremor package because they couldn't tell me what it would cost at that time. I confirmed all of the other packages like the Lariat luxury and co-pilot 360 packages at that time too.

Fast forward almost a year later, my window sticker states I got the Lariat luxury and co-pilot 360 packages, but I don't have adaptive cruise or rear parking sensors. After digging around on here, it looks like they split the co-pilot 360 package into 2 separate items and the dealer just neglected to mention that to me. I'm really disappointed as my last vehicle had ACC and I loved it.

I definitely don't want to wait another year for the dealer to order me a new one.

You said you ordered the co-pilot 360 packages so that means you knew there were 2 of them for 2023 and that ACC was in the co-pilot Assist package (package 2). If the window sticker says it included co-pilot 360 packages (plural) that would be the 2 co-pilot packages for 2023 that includes ACC.

So did you order plural (2) packages and get plural (2) packages or only one?

Looks like you only ordered the basic CP360, You would have to order both CP360 packages. It's the CP360 Assist that gives you ACC. If you confirmed both of them, you would have the CP360 packages, not just the basic package. Simple mistake.

A LOT of buyers AND dealers didn't notice Ford's memo that clearly identified the 6 items removed from the Lariat Lux package for 2023.

1. SIBL
2. Bed Rails
3. Remote Start

Above items became standalone selections. Below three were made the "Copilot 360 Assist" package

4. Adaptive Cruise
5. Evasive Steering
6. Rear Parking Sensors.

You can find a lot of 2023 Lariat Lux trucks on Carvana and the like (with the front radar square missing) as many didn't take their trucks because of the missing Assist package..

On a positive note, nothing is broken out on a 2024 Lariat. One size fits all.

yep it seems that has happened several times based on other threads on the issue. Guess it was somewhat confusing in MY23, especially MY22 to MY23 rollover orders. I can understand your disappointment, once you've had the ACC and are use to it, sorta hard to go back without it IMO

Don't blame you. The only reason I bought a 22 lariat lux was to get the acc. Ford made it very confusing for 23 models. Looks like they fixed that for 24s.

Sorry you weren’t a member when the order banks opened ☹ if it hadn’t been for this group my ā€˜23 would have arrived without the co-pilot assist. Fortunately I saw a thread about it being an option for 2023 and was able to change my order.

I made the same mistake. But to be honest I don't miss it, I don't think I would have used it

Man this sucks. What are you going to do? I currently don't have to truck and I don't have a vehicle with ACC, but I do a lot of highway miles and I can't see myself going back once I get ACC

Not a Ford failure.... Dealers and customers failed.

As they were having lots of constraint issues at the time, Ford decided to break out those 6 items to help the build process. Ford clearly informed dealers about the changes to the order guide for 2023 in September 2022, but many dealers couldn't seem bothered to read. Thanks to @fordvideoguy and others posting the Ford Order Guide here, I guided my dealer to make the proper changes to my 2022 order that was cancelled/reordered.

Now for 2024, Ford decided to make it simpler for dealers and customers who don't read their orders. A Lariat has pretty much everything requiring factory install (but the moonroof) standard.

I blame Ford for a lot of the previous years' order mess, but this particular issue falls on dealers and customers. When 2022 orders were converted to 2023 orders, too many people didn't check on what was changed and relied on dealers to take care of whatever was needed to duplicate their 2022 order.

Just for the ACC you would want to order a new vehicle? I know I miss the push button of my last vehicle but it wasn’t worth me paying for the lariat trim myself- however if’s you really want it… I don’t think you will have to wait as long for a new maverick (order banks are still open showing demand dropped) and the new lariat is all inclusive packaging this year. You can always order & not take it after you decided šŸ˜‰

I purposely didn’t order the adaptive cruise because I felt it might keep me from getting a truck. I have it on my car but it’s no big deal that I don’t have it on the Mav.

Just confirmed with my dealer, and it's true.

The ACC was part of package 66B, Ford CoPilot Assist. This could ONLY be selected when you also chose packages 86B Ford CoPilot and 54P, Lariat Luxury. So, in theory as a consumer looking at the 2023 order guide last year, it was simple: Order 54P and 86B, then you can order 66B.

Here's the problem: Ford didn't let the dealer choose 66B; they pulled it off the ordering information for the dealer. Not available.

In other words, they let YOU the consumer see it in the guide, but they did NOT let the dealer order it. None of the 2023s have it I'm told.

And, oh by the way, in the probably impossible chance some aftermarket ACC is ever available, I'm there. Line forms behind me.
