2025 rear differential leaking

Hello all,
I wanted to know if anybody else is having any issues in regards to there rear differential leaking? I noticed a place in the garage concrete and then placed some cardboard in the area and sure enough there is a leak from my rear differential. I am going to be contacting my local Ford Dealer tomorrow to set up an appointment to get that fixed, but want to know if that is a thing that many have noticed?

A few folks on YouTube & here on the forum have noted that their RDU drain bolts were not tightened properly - surprised they lefty loosened so easily.

Your drips may be coming from your drain plug. Before driving - make sure there is not a big puddle & a drain plug on your garage floor!

You might even be able to see the plug (and check the tightness yourself without lifting truck?) YouTube vid shows the easy access /location to the drain plug location.

I would try to determine where the leak is originating before doing anything. Should be easy to tell. But there is no common issues with leaking RDU's.

Its not the drain plug, but something is very much wrong as the little drip has grown to several drips. I have an appointment to get it looked at on Monday. I am assuming that the gasket goop is defective or a mico crack.

How long has it been doing that? I’d be cautious about driving it unless it’s straight to the dealer. The RDU don’t take a lot of fluid and you could do more damage if it’s almost out.

A handful of days. You are very correct there is not a ton of fluid in that housing.

I checked mine, no leak, I guess because there is no differential. LOL
