Many dealers do offer mobile. That said for firmware updates, some are reluctant to perform them via the mobile service, as the Ford setup updates ALL modules for which there's an update when doing so, which could take significant time with some models.

The dealership my brother works at doesn't perform firmware updates via the mobile service, or that's what he indicated. His example was an F150 they had to leave updating overnight, connected to a 12v supply/battery maintainer. (It took 8 1/2 or so hours for the truck to perform all the updates). There's also a chance an ECM issues prevents the update from being applied, which on rare instances may cause the ECM to fail during the update process. (Their system does test the ECM before attempting to apply the update).

My dealer for this XLT is 26 miles away. When I got the blinkers recall, dealer contacted me, said they can send mobile tech, do the ref lash in driveway. I said bring it on. Took him maybe 15 minutes, as I watched, he explaining the process. Then he said the TPMS may need to be reset, he didn‘t have his TPMS program black box. I told him a Ford dealer just 5 miles away, I could ask them to reset TPMS, provided they not charge to do it. He said if they do, any hiccup, call and he‘ll come back to do it. The close by dealer did it, no charge.

Happy happy.
Sounds good have to call and check it out. (y)

I don't know how I lived this long (60 years) without my car telling me my blinker was burned out. I relied on the old fashion way. Someone told me.
Even old cars would blink fast if the bulb was out. This recall is because the Maverick may not blink fast.

Had mine done a couple of days ago. Didn't even know my dealer offered the mobile service. I was making arrangements to have them pick it up and return it when I learned about them sending a tech to the house to take care of it. I was also told they may be offering to do oil changes in a similar manner. I LIKE IT.

Took mine in yesterday for this since I got the recall notice. They also did some PCM software update/recall I didn’t know about.

I had it done by the mobile service. It took 15 minutes.
Same for me, but the service tech was at the house for around 45 minutes or so. I think he did a complete multi-point inspection. Nothing to report. As he put it ... it is a new vehicle, so he was not expecting to find anything 🙂.

Mobile service will be here in the morning to take care of the recall. Does anyone know if this will reset all settings? I have made a few changes like adding all drive modes.

The minimum time listed on the Ford recall notices is always "less than one half-day" .

Sometimes there is an issue w/ Ford's servers (or internet service), and the 10 min programming can end up taking a while!
