I had it done by the mobile service. It took 15 minutes.

I will not be going out of my way to get this done. They can send the mobile unit or it can get done when it's otherwise at the dealer if ever, lol!

My excellent dealer has mobil service. Works great. Is picking up my lariat Jan (edited to change to Jan instead of Dec) 31 to warranty headliner as weatherstripping did not completely cover factory one after side curtain air bags recall. He cannot do everything in my drive so he does the free convenience ferry service. (Not sure but think possibly he saves enough in coffee and cookies to pay for it if I take maverick in and wait???).

I had mine done yesterday. I work next to the dealership so it's easy. They called about an hour after I dropped it off, said it was done. Its just a software update to the BCM.

ford is only paying for 0.3 hours labors so it shouldn't take very long to fix.

I wonder does every dealer have a mobile service? Or do I have to go to a dealer.
My dealer for this XLT is 26 miles away. When I got the blinkers recall, dealer contacted me, said they can send mobile tech, do the ref lash in driveway. I said bring it on. Took him maybe 15 minutes, as I watched, he explaining the process. Then he said the TPMS may need to be reset, he didn‘t have his TPMS program black box. I told him a Ford dealer just 5 miles away, I could ask them to reset TPMS, provided they not charge to do it. He said if they do, any hiccup, call and he‘ll come back to do it. The close by dealer did it, no charge.

Happy happy.

Just got mine done today via Ford Mobile Service.
I live 25 miles away (nearest dealer) in a very rural location.

Was a wonderful and fast experience.
15-20 minutes, update to software/BCM.

Truck was parked in garage and tech did the job.

I am impressed that my nearest Ford dealer proactively emailed me last week for this and I accepted the mobile service date of today.

They (My local Ford Dealer Service dept) have been very difficult to work with in the past for any recalls or service, so when they showed up today at my rural home, I was very happy.

Thanks Ford for pushing this Mobile Service.
Love it, Love it.

Yep just did mine. You can go to any Ford dealer closest to you.
