Great job! I don’t understand the need for people to have anything negative to say about this short range mileage. For some people that might be the only driving they do.
some guy asked about my hybrid this week and didn’t want to hear about mileage because he has to tow larger loads. Whatever...
I can only guess, it’s an electrical problem or maybe even a sensor that’s not happy and shutting things down. Regardless, the shop has not diagnosed correctly, so maybe they can make it right or take it elsewhere.
If it only leaks when running then it’s leaking as it flows, so not the radiator, coolant tanks, etc. Maybe just a hard to find hose or connector. That doesn’t narrow it down much but it’s a start.
I'm not sure if this is related, but of course when you hit Defrost, the AC runs to take moisture out of the air. With the hybrids we have electric compressors, so it's probably easier for the computer to turn it on if it needs cooling...not sure if it would do that to cool other components and...
as a student in Automotive Technology, I can only say that the anti-seize debate varies by manufacturers, so ideally you read the specs for your particular brand/model from a reliable source. But yeah, we have things in our school where the book answer says "A", but our instructors let us know...
My truck is similar, “some” water drips off driver side back seat door after a rain, parked on flat. Not a flood, not flooding the rear carpet or anything, just enough to get you wet if you’re in the way. Not a big deal.
That was my thought too, try cruise control. Also the driving mode Mike make a difference, along with incline steepness, tire pressure, surface of road, weight of cargo, and then all the drivetrain components from engine to sensors, etc etc.
