Being the first year of a model they threw packages & options together they thought most would want, they were close but should have done better. The split rear seat would be the most beneficial. I also paid $2200 for cruise control, but was not willing to pay another $2200 to get a power seat. I still don't know what sync 3 is or what is does, & don't need navigation, I can get everywhere I am going to go by memory.

I have a 2019 transit connect with a sync 3 system. It has voice commands and built-in navigational maps which I just assumed would be on my ordered Lariat Lux system. Listening to the video it appears a build in nav is not included on this system. Is this correct, no Ford nav?

Abso-friggin'- lutely.

In my case the XL not including cruise control was the attraction that affirmatively clinched the decision as to which trim to consider.
The fuel economy and price was the draw for me. I was able to afford the XLT

2023 Ford Maverick - 12 Changes We Need
1: Rear Seat Back
2: Rear Seat Cushion Design
3: SYNC 3 Standard
4: CoPilot 360 Package
5: Drive Mode Functionality
6: Auto Start/Stop Delete
7: XL Optional Package
8: Luxury Package Changes
9: Fog Lights
10: Sport Package
11: SiriusXM
12: Navigation

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#1 and #2 Rear Seat both the back and the cushion being split is a great idea.

#3, #11 and #12 I would have to say no as those would increase the cost and really be of no use for me as Android Auto does does everything I need from: Navigation, If SiriusXM App is on the phone it is also available with AA. AA also does voice commands.

I see these three selections only adding costs while having less as inbuilt navigation is always outdated and costly (subscription) updates vs free Google Maps via AA.

#4 I strongly agree in Co-Pilot360 and ordered it on my XLT.

#5 I agree that having a message stating "Do you want to stay in Drive Mode XXX" would be great as it takes so many button pushes to get back to ECO mode

As for the other changes I really don't have an opinion.

13. If you can't build them, don't take a deposit and run a dog and pony show on us.
My friend went to order a Honda Ridgeline. Dealer told him there is a one year wait for it. hmm. Ford sells more Mavericks than Honda does Ridgelines.

You really need slippery mode every time you get in because it’s raining?
Maybe because I have a Ecoboost with plenty of Torque so the tires tend to slip when I hit the gas but not when I put it into slippery mode. Kind of the point of having different driver modes.

Please, please keep CP 360 an opitonal add-on, at least for the base model. A costly feature Do Not Want.

I was thinking about why Ford decided to reset the driving mode to Normal all the time and for all ford vehicles.
  1. For some safety risk mitigation in case a driver keeps “sand” or other not optimal setting all the time?
  2. maybe normal is the mode that best guarantees long term reliability
  3. as advertised MPG consumption and performance are with normal
  4. or simply because 90% of drivers don’t use that drive mode option anyway…

Hypothesize that Eco would be the most chosen after Normal and as such ought to be the option right after Normal, requiring the minimum of button pushes rather than the handful it now does.
