Good to know that if you do run out of gas you can run on electric to either get to a safe area and or to the nearest gas station.

That is just about all you'll get in these given the battery size.

Two things - the electric motor is not really big enough to really send the Maverick down the road with pace and efficiency - but really even just pace. So adding a larger battery would allow you in theory to limp it back to a safe place but the performance would not increase.

He did the same test in the 2.0 eco he owned. That high pressure fuel pump has seen some shit

My mother in law drives a Chevy Trax. So worst case scenario for a fuel pump, injectors, lines, everything. Yet nothing has broken for 130k miles. Oh, she also has ran it dry almost monthly for the last 3 years. She is horrible with money so only gets 2 gallons at a time. I’ve stopped taking her gas cans, but my wife keeps feeding the stupidity.
