I’m so glad someone did it, I was very curious what happens.I was interested to know what happens......
Its not mine....lol.....just noticed the video on YT'So, did all your warning lights on the dash reset to normal after re-fuelling?
That is just about all you'll get in these given the battery size.So was it just one mile on pure electric, albiet at 25-30 mph ?
I guess the idea of adding another battery in is out of the question down the road. That is just about all you'll get in these given the battery size.
Absolutely brilliant kcamp317 thanks for finding out this vital information. I would be too much of a wussy to do this on my Mav....when it shows up anyway.I was interested to know what happens......
Two things - the electric motor is not really big enough to really send the Maverick down the road with pace and efficiency - but really even just pace. So adding a larger battery would allow you in theory to limp it back to a safe place but the performance would not increase.I guess the idea of adding another battery in is out of the question down the road.
I really thought it would have more juice but that thing is tiny.
He did the same test in the 2.0 eco he owned. That high pressure fuel pump has seen some shitRunning the fuel tank dry like that is a very bad idea, say goodby to the fuel pump in short order,
My mother in law drives a Chevy Trax. So worst case scenario for a fuel pump, injectors, lines, everything. Yet nothing has broken for 130k miles. Oh, she also has ran it dry almost monthly for the last 3 years. She is horrible with money so only gets 2 gallons at a time. I’ve stopped taking her gas cans, but my wife keeps feeding the stupidity.Running the fuel tank dry like that is a very bad idea, say goodby to the fuel pump in short order,
